Maggie Baird Hosts Billie Eilish, Finneas, More at Support+Feed Event

Environmental advocate Maggie Baird, mother to Grammy Award-winning singers Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell, hosted a star-studded pickleball event over the weekend to combat food insecurity. Support+Feed, the nonprofit founded by Baird, hosted its inaugural Pickleball Invitational and Game Night Fundraiser on Saturday at PIKL L.A. The game night brought together celebrities, community partners and supporters to raise awareness for a cause that Baird has been vocal about for several years. Several notable guests attended the event, including her children, Eilish and O’Connell; Angelina Jolie and her son, Pax Jolie-Pitt; Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard; and former Spice Girls singer Melanie C. “Our work in L.A. has taken on even greater urgency since the fires last year,” Baird exclusively told The Hollywood Reporter. “It’s extremely moving to see our community come together to support our neighbors.” Attendees were treated to plant-based meals from Support+Feed partner Cena Vegan and Strong Roots, who also in part sponsored the event. Ncuti Gatwa jokes about Doctor Who regeneration into Billie Piper

Ncuti Gatwa took on the role of host in this week’s final episode of SNL UK season 1, and as might be expected he made multiple references to his time on Doctor Who. After a teaser sketch earlier in the week saw him in a regeneration parody, Gatwa kicked off the episode proper with the traditional monologue, in which he joked about his shock departure from the BBC show. “It was genuinely a magical role,” Gatwa said of playing the Doctor. “In fact, it was the first time my parents were truly proud of my career. When I told them I got the part they said, ‘Finally! A doctor in the family!’ “And even though I have since regenerated into Billie Piper – I don’t understand it either – I still love Doctor Who and I got to meet so many crazy characters; sort of a bit like this place.” You can watch the full monologue, in which he also joked that only “about 12 of you watched me in Doctor Who”, below. Now, more than 60 years later, she will participate in Monday’s commencement as a graduate of the institution’s history department. “Graduating, it’s just thrilling. Really,” King told USA Today’s Studio IX. “I’m thrilled because of the way the other people have responded to this. “I thought, OK, I’m going to get my degree, but I had no idea people would be so connected and feeling this,” she added, “in every age …

Billie Eilish Doesn’t Know if There Will Ever Be Another Billie Eilish

Nearly a decade ago, Billie Eilish, then 13 years old, put “Ocean Eyes” on SoundCloud and catapulted to global superstardom. It was the kind of ascent aspiring singers dream of, propelled by a platform that at the time wasn’t known for unearthing pop stars. But if you ask her now, even Eilish, now 24, doesn’t know if someone else could replicate her success. “Oh my god!” she says when asked where the next Billie Eilish might be discovered. “I have no idea.” Photograph: Darrell Jackson These days it’s common for new artists to share their music on SoundCloud, but back then it was still relatively new. “I’m very curious to see what the future holds,” Eilish says. “I don’t know where the next whoever is gonna come from. I can’t wait to see them and I can’t wait to cheerleader them, whoever it may be.” If they ever come. Ten years ago artists could build followings, like Eilish did, through livestreams, Instagram posts, and videos on social media. In 2026, the landscape looks very different. …

Billie Eilish at the premiere of her new concert film last month As the debate around phone etiquette at gigs rages on, Billie Eilish has admitted she thinks people need to relax on the subject. During a new interview with NME, the chart-topping US star was asked what she made of scenes in her new concert depicting a sea of mobile phones in the crowd. “I just think that’s what it’s like,” the Bad Guy singer responded, when “asked if her fans get a bad rap” over their penchant for recording so much on their phones at her gigs. She continued: “My generation, and the generations below, we love to film stuff. All I do is film and take pictures of stuff – all of the time. “When I was young and would go to concerts or festivals, I would film every single minute of it – and then I would watch every single video that I took over and over until I even had the audio of the crowd memorised. I think that’s not …
