Galaxy Z Fold 8 Leaks: Dual-UTG Glass & Crease-Free Screen

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 series builds upon the foundation of its predecessors, offering a refined take on foldable phone technology. With three distinct models, the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Z Fold 8 Wide, and Z Flip 8, Samsung focuses on practical enhancements that improve usability, durability and performance. While the updates may not be innovative, they collectively elevate the foldable experience, making it more reliable and user-friendly for everyday use. Foldable iPhone’s Crease-Free Display Tech Spotted at CES 2026

CES 2026 has just provided a first glimpse of the folding display technology that Apple is expected to use in its upcoming foldable iPhone. At the event, Samsung Display briefly showcased its new crease-less foldable OLED panel beside a Galaxy Z Fold 7, and according to SamMobile, which saw the test booth before it was abruptly removed, the new panel “has no crease at all” in comparison. The existing display used in the Galaxy Z Fold 7 does an impressive job of reducing crease visibility, but crucially it can still be seen at certain viewing angles. In contrast, Samsung Display claims that the newer panel, destined for the Z Fold 8, offers “seamless text across the fold” whichever way you look at it – which is good news for Apple, given that Samsung is the company’s main supplier of OLED technology. Apple supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said in July that Samsung’s next-generation Galaxy Z Fold 8 will use the same laser-drilled metal display plate as the foldable iPhone, with the component to be supplied …

Apple is making progress on the development of the book-style foldable iPhone expected in 2026, according to a report from Chinese site UDN. The device has reportedly entered the engineering validation stage, and Apple is gearing up for mass production. Citing supply chain sources, UDN says that Apple has solved “the crease problem” that has plagued most foldable smartphones, and the foldable ‌iPhone‌ will be the first crease-free foldable smartphone on the market. We’ve heard multiple prior rumors about Apple’s intensive work on the hinge and display to minimize creasing, so this isn’t the first time the foldable ‌iPhone‌ has been rumored to have a seamless screen. Apple is using an inner screen designed by Samsung, but the panel structure, lamination method, and material process was designed by Apple. Apple worked with its suppliers to come up with a hinge design that prevents a permanent crease, and the hinge will adopt Liquid Metal components. By using Liquid Metal, Apple was able to design an ‌iPhone‌ that has a durable hinge that still has a slim …
