Good Omens favourite Michael Sheen tears up about show’s finale in BTS video

Good Omens favourite Michael Sheen has teared up while talking about the show’s finale in a newly released behind-the-scenes video. The Prime Video show has come to an end after three seasons and seven years on screens. The fantasy comedy series follows an unlikely friendship between a fussy angel, Aziraphale, played by Michael Sheen and a loose-living demon, Crowley, brought to life by David Tennant. Having spent 6,000 years on Earth and grown deeply fond of humanity, they team up to thwart Armageddon – the final, apocalyptic war between Heaven and Hell. After the release of the final season, the two leads have opened up in a new behind-the-scenes video about their time on the show and the relationship they have built. Visibly moved, Sheen said: “It’s hard to talk about it really without getting very emotional,” before adding “Sorry,” while wiping away tears. Want to see this content? Watersports, biking and island escapes: readers’ favourite family holidays | Europe holidays

The beauty of Italy’s Lake Garda Lake Garda gave us one of the most memorable and unexpected family holidays yet. We hired a car and headed from Milan to Unesco-listed Peschiera del Garda and the family-focused apartment we found on Airbnb. A gentle 15-minute walk to the lakeside restaurants and gelaterias, this was the perfect base for exploring the beautiful town. Special mentions go to: Gelateria la Romana, with its wonderful ice-cream; the boat trip to Sirmione, an old town with thermal springs on a narrow peninsula; and, further up the lake, picturesque Malcesine and the cable car to the top of Monte Baldo to watch paragliders and to take in the amazing views.Alex Profile Readers’ tips: send a tip for a chance to win a £200 voucher for a Coolstays break Show Guardian Travel readers’ tips Every week we ask our readers for recommendations from their travels. The 83-year-old musician joined host and creator Amelia Dimoldenberg for the “first date” format, which sees celebrities interviewed over fast food. Their conversation, held over vegan chicken nuggets and chips at Camden’s Temple of Seitan, touched on subjects including dentists, tattoos, and favourite dance moves. At one point, Dimoldenberg asked Sir Paul to name his favourite Beatle. Sir Paul replied: “Well, there’s only one left now. Currently, it’s Ringo. “During the Beatles, I think we all used to look up to John, because he was like the leader, even though there wasn’t officially a leader of the group. “He was very witty and it was great to have in …

Fabulous views, ferry rides and tucked-away beaches: readers’ favourite UK coast walks | United Kingdom holidays

A tidal island off Ynys Môn (Anglesey) With an impressive mix of mountain and sea views, the 130-mile Anglesey Coastal Path is a must-do for those who love a good walk. But like most locals, my perennial favourite is the offshoot trail out to the tidal island Ynys Llanddwyn. Having grown up on Ynys Môn but now living in London, for me it has become something of an annual pilgrimage in the summer months. The mile-long walk along the main beach to the island is manageable and fun for grandparents and grandkids alike – with the white-washed lighthouses offering a rewarding end viewpoint. Pack a picnic, swim in the clear waters and relax – just make sure you’ve checked the tide times!Lavinia Brydon Profile Readers’ tips: send a tip for a chance to win a £200 voucher for a Coolstays break Show Guardian Travel readers’ tips Every week we ask our readers for recommendations from their travels. A moment that changed me: I was turning 40 with an arthritis diagnosis – on a whim I took up my favourite teen hobby again | Fitness

At 14, I decided to learn a martial art. I told my parents it was to defend myself on the mean streets of Congleton – a market town in Cheshire largely devoid of danger – when, in truth, it was because I wanted to be like Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I joined a kickboxing club, and what could have been a passing phase became a thrice-weekly commitment spanning four years. I was a model student, picking up a different coloured belt every few months to mark my progression through the grades. I grew strong and flexible, swapping puppy fat for muscle. I routinely fought men without fear and found a confidence in my body I have never experienced before or since. ‘I was in the best shape of my life’ … Lauren in 2004. Photograph: Mark Potts By the time I came to do my black belt grading in 2004, I was 19 and in the best shape of my life. Three torturous hours of punches, kicks, fitness drills and sparring pushed me to my …
