Multiple John B. Sanfilippo & Son, Inc. products were flavored with a seasoning that contained a recalled dry milk powder, according to a new notice from the FDA. That ingredient was recalled in April by California Dairies, Inc. because it could have been contaminated with salmonella, a bacterium that causes food poisoning. “The affected seasoning batches tested negative for salmonella prior to use,” the FDA said in a news release about the recalled snack mixes. “However, the company is taking this action as a precautionary measure because of the potential that these products may contain the presence of salmonella.” Among the recalled products is Good and Gather’s …
