The former prince, who lost his titles last year as a result of various scandals, no longer calls Royal Lodge home after he was evicted and moved to a farmhouse on the King’s private Sandringham Estate. The former duke was reportedly sad to leave the home, and it turns out this may be because the estate – which actually belongs to The Crown Estate – was actually providing him with a steady income. This is because he was reportedly subletting properties around his Windsor mansion that were part of the estate, and pocketing this money for himself. This has been revealed in a report by the National Audit Office (NAO) into the Firm’s residential property arrangements. Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has officially moved into Marsh Farm, his permanent home on the Sandringham estate, leaving Royal Lodge in his wake. According to a new report, the 31-room property on the Windsor Home Park estate is now lying empty, having been the former Duke of York’s home since 2004. As per The Sun, the grounds of Andrew’s former home have been left looking like a “ghost town”, having once been a “hive of activity” during the former prince’s tenure. The future of Royal Lodge remains uncertain. In the initial days after Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s house move, he could be enjoying the privacy of his upgraded security as he unpacks his final possessions and settles into his new surroundings at Marsh Farm. While solitude away from the public eye remains of the utmost importance for the disgraced royal, it’s unlikely that details of the interiors will be revealed in the same way as his former home Royal Lodge, which he previously shared with his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson. But one thing remains likely – he’ll be seeking to create the same “serene” environment he previously enjoyed at his 30-room mansion. Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor caused tension with his nephew, Prince Harry, following reports he had scathingly dismissed his wife, Meghan Markle, a royal author has claimed. In his new book, Betrayal: Power, Deceit And The Fight For The Future Of The Royal Family, Tom Bower explores the “split between the Houses of Sussex and Windsor”. Betrayal, which is published on 26 March, investigates whether the “broken bonds” between Prince William and Kate, and Harry and Meghan, can ever be repaired. A spokesperson for the Sussexes has denied the claims in the book, criticising the author for his “fixation” on the couple.  In one passage, Bower describes the tense car ride between Andrew, 66, and Harry as they arrived at Westminster Abbey for the coronation of King Charles in May 2023.  In part, the awkward atmosphere was due to reports that Andrew had dubbed Meghan an “opportunist”, with Bower referencing Andrew Lownie’s book, Entitled. Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s Marsh Farm preparations are heavily underway, and as his suggested April move-in date looms closer, workers were spotted erecting an electric fence surrounding the Norfolk property.  The former prince, 66, is currently residing in Wood Farm on the Sandringham Estate in East Anglia while he waits for renovations on the five-bedroom farmhouse to be completed.  He was stripped of his titles last October by his brother, King Charles III, and was evicted from his former Grade-II listed Georgian mansion, Royal Lodge in Windsor, where he lived with his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, for around two decades.  On Thursday, 19 March, less than two weeks out from his rumoured moving date, workers were seen driving materials to build an electric fence towards the Wolferton property on a quad bike.  A team of khaki-clad workmen were putting up the new fencing around the perimeter of Marsh Farm.
