Devin Stone never intended to become one of the internet’s most recognizable legal analysts. Instead, he was supposed to follow a predictable path: graduate, grind it out in Big Law, make partner, and spend the next several decades enjoying a conventionally successful career as a lawyer. But a bout of burnout early in Stone’s career led him to YouTube, where he started publishing explainer videos under the name Legal Eagle. Stone’s channel, which now boasts nearly 4 million followers, started out pretty fluffy, with videos dissecting legal representations on popular TV shows and movies becoming an early audience favorite. While those turned him into a prominent online influencer—yes, there’s at least one for pretty much everything these days—Stone has more recently become a figure both beloved and detested for his prolific video explainers of the Trump presidency’s various legal quagmires and the constitutional crises they’re creating. Days after his initial arrest for allegedly causing a disturbance at a private school with which he had no affiliation, Allman was arrested again in Windham, New Hampshire, after he allegedly broke into a home. Cher previously filed a conservatorship in December 2023, arguing at the time that Allman could not take care of himself or “manage his own financial resources” because of alleged issues with drug abuse. There was no ‌immediate confirmation from U.S. officials about ‌the plans, which the Iranian and Pakistani officials discussed on condition of anonymity. A source who has been involved ⁠in the ⁠talks said a proposal had been sent to Washington and Tehran for the ​delegations to return to Islamabad to resume discussions. No date had yet been decided but both countries could return as early as the end of this week. An official at the Iranian embassy in Islamabad said: “The coming rounds of talks can come ​sometime later this week or earlier next week. A recent study published in the Journal of Psychopharmacology suggests that using cannabis has widespread negative effects on many different types of memory. The findings provide evidence that getting high impairs everyday cognitive functions, like remembering to perform future tasks or recalling the exact sequence of past events. “It is well established in the empirical literature that acute cannabis intoxication is detrimental to memory,” said study author Carrie Cuttler, an associate professor at Washington State University and a co-director of WSU’s Cannabis Research Center. “However, the bulk of prior research examining the acute effects of cannabis on memory in humans has focused on a relatively narrow set of memory tests primarily verbal memory tasks, which involve recalling lists of words, and working memory tasks, which require temporarily holding and manipulating information in consciousness. “Far fewer studies have examined how cannabis affects other types of memory that are more relevant to everyday life. These include temporal order memory (remembering the order in which events occurred), prospective memory (remembering to perform tasks in the future), source memory (remembering where information came from), false memory (recalling information …
