Doctor Who’s Tom Baker reunites with K9 star for Sherlock Holmes story

Doctor Who legend Tom Baker has reunited with his former co-star John Leeson for a brand new Sherlock Holmes adventure. Baker, who played the Fourth Doctor in the BBC sci-fi series, has returned to the role of Sir Sherlock Holmes for Sir Sherlock: The Sickle and the Sea, a new original audio adventure from AUK Studios. The project sees Baker starring opposite Leeson – best known to Doctor Who fans as the voice of the Doctor’s robotic companion K9 – as Doctor Watson, with the pair joined once again by Katy Ashworth as Emily Lestrade. A behind-the-scenes photo from the production show Baker and Leeson back together for the new mystery, which follows on from Sir Sherlock: The Red Letter Day, released earlier this month. The rumors are true. The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Miranda Hope is venturing into music. Hope is set to release her debut single, “FU4THAT,” a country song, on June 26. The track is expected to launch her country music career. ’90s star Leelee Sobieski made a rare appearance in New York City to celebrate her 43rd birthday on June 10, a decade after she left Hollywood behind for family life.  The actress was seen walking the streets of NYC in a long-sleeved white shirt, a blue knee-length pleated skirt and black shoes, paired with a gold chain necklace. LeVar Burton stepped out with his wife of 34 years, Stephanie Cozard Burton, in the City of Love as they celebrated a romantic getaway together. The 69-year-old actor relied on his cane to walk the streets of Paris, after undergoing hip surgery four months prior. LeVar looked stylish in a black tee, a checkered jacket and light-wash jeans, paired with sunglasses and a black pendant around his neck. Stephanie included several other photos in the social media carousel of the delicious food they indulged in on their trip, while celebrating their 34th wedding anniversary.  “Fun in Paris with my boo,” she captioned the sweet post. Bridgit Mendler has quietly made her grand return to music. The former Disney star, who left Hollywood nearly a decade ago to focus on her academics and pursue a career in the tech space, dropped a surprise EP on Friday. Titled Once Again…, it features six new tracks, including “Flowers,” “Cold,” “Mercy,” “Long Run,” “Loyalties” and “Oxygen.” She doesn’t appear to be promoting the EP on her social media, as her last Instagram post was in 2022. The last time Mendler released an album was in 2012 with Hello My Name Is…, which included the fan-favorite songs “Ready or Not” and “Hurricane.” She also dropped a few singles after, including her most recent, “Driving,” in 2017. Mendler initially rose to fame for her roles on the Disney Channel series Good Luck Charlie and Wizards of Waverly Place.
