Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin Finally Joins Reusable Rocket Club – But Suffers Craft Issues In Space

Blue Origin’s New Glenn rocket reached space on its third flight and successfully landed its booster for the first time, but ultimately failed to place an AST SpaceMobile satellite into low Earth orbit. The booster landed on a large barge in the Atlantic Ocean, while the satellite separated and powered on but ended up in what Jeff Bezos’ rocket company described as an “off-nominal orbit.” pic.twitter.com/BMAUIwF5jk — Dave Limp (@davill) April 19, 2026 The New Glenn rocket, carrying AST SpaceMobile’s BlueBird 7 satellite, blasted off from the launchpad at Cape Canaveral, Florida, at about 7:25 a.m. local time. WTO suffers fresh blow as e-commerce reform push hits a wall at Cameroon meeting

WTO suffers fresh blow as e-commerce reform push hits a wall at Cameroon meeting

YAOUNDE: World Trade Organization (WTO) talks broke up on Monday (Mar 30) with no agreement on a plan for reform or even on extending a moratorium on e-commerce, piling more pressure on the trade body that finds itself increasingly sidelined by economic nationalism. The four-day ministerial talks in Cameroon’s capital Yaounde ended in the early hours with Brazil blocking a bid by the United States and others to prolong a moratorium on duties for electronic transmissions such as digital downloads and streaming. Expectations for progress had been low before the talks, but there had been hopes that the moratorium would be renewed at least. In the end, even that proved impossible amid resistance from Brazil, and trade ministers could not agree to extend it for more than two years, which was not enough for the US, diplomats said. US officials and business groups expressed frustration at the impasse, and the failure to reach a joint decision was described as a “major setback for global trade” by Britain’s Business and Trade Secretary Peter Kyle. Singapore, which …

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor suffers another blow as King makes new order | Royal | News

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been dealt another blow as he has reportedly been ordered to have all his belongings cleared out of Royal Lodge as soon as possible. Last month, the disgraced former prince was evicted earlier than anticipated from Royal Lodge in Windsor after he appeared in more Epstein files. While appearing in the Epstein files does not indicate wrongdoing, with Andrew having always denied accusations against him, it brought a cloud over the monarchy. This resulted in King Charles evicting his younger brother sooner than expected from the royal abode. Now, it seems that the King has put his foot down once again, with orders for Royal Lodge to be cleared imminently of all of Andrew’s possessions that have been left behind since he moved almost two months ago. As reported by The Mirror, royal aides have had the task of clearing the remaining possessions from Royal Lodge, including in staff quarters. One source told The Mirror: “Andrew was told everything has to be out and absolutely nothing was to be left behind. “He …

Microsoft Freezes Hiring In Cloud And Sales As Stock Suffers Worst Start To Year On Record

Microsoft Freezes Hiring In Cloud And Sales As Stock Suffers Worst Start To Year On Record

Microsoft shares were trading lower Thursday afternoon, leaving the stock deeper in bear-market territory and down about 24% on the year. Seasonal data suggests it is the worst start to a year for Microsoft on record.  A new report from The Information says Microsoft executives have instructed managers across major divisions, including Azure cloud and North American sales, to freeze hiring as part of a broader effort to reduce costs and boost margins ahead of the June fiscal year-end.  Microsoft employees who spoke with the outlet said the hiring freeze is not companywide. They said Copilot and some other AI-related engineering divisions are still hiring, but managers in large cloud and sales organizations were told to halt all new hirings in recent weeks.  “The company reported slightly decelerating Azure growth in the fourth quarter of last year and said roughly 45% of its Azure revenue backlog, or customer spending commitments, come from one customer, OpenAI,” The Information noted. Microsoft reduced headcount by 15,000 last year. The company ended 2025 with 228,000 full-time employees, the same …

Zuckerberg Suffers Pair of Bruising Courtroom Defeats in Two Days That Could Cost Him a Fortune

Sign up to see the future, today Can’t-miss innovations from the bleeding edge of science and tech On Tuesday, Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta was handed a devastating loss after a New Mexico jury determined it intentionally violated state laws by misleading users about the safety of its products. While the $375 million penalty it was slapped with pales in comparison to the $200 billion of revenue Meta made in 2025, the jury’s decision was a sign of what was still in store. That came today, following nine days of deliberation, when a jury in Los Angeles determined that both Meta and Google were guilty for allowing young users to become addicted and suffer mental health issues as a result. Again, while the $3 million in compensatory damages likely won’t even scratch Meta’s company’s bottom line, the two verdicts in just two days set an ominous precedent for Zuckerberg and his ilk as courts continue to debate the thoroughly-researched, harmful effects social media can have on young and impressionable minds. As The Verge notes, Meta — alongside …
