This City is Ours is headed back to BBC One and iPlayer this autumn, with a slew of first-look images giving fans a glimpse at what’s in store. The crime drama introduced viewers to the Phelan family, whose vice-like grip over the illegal drug trade in Liverpool was threatened by the murder of patriarch Ronnie (Sean Bean). The devastating loss sparked chaos as Ronnie’s immature son, Jamie (Jack McMullen), and his trusted right-hand man Michael (James Nelson-Joyce) went to war over who should inherit the empire. They might well be the least of each other’s worries in season 2, as a dangerous new player emerges seeking retribution over a shock killing that could change everything. As the first three episodes of Reacher season 4 have debuted, Prime Video has also released a brand new trailer for spin-off series Neagley. The spin-off sees Maria Sten reprising her role as Frances Neagley, the private investigator in Chicago and former military protégé of Alan Ritchson’s Jack Reacher in the Army’s 110th Special Investigations Unit. Filming has wrapped on Call the Midwife: Sisters in Arms – and the BBC has marked the occasion with a first look at the cast of its three-part World War II prequel, coming to BBC One and iPlayer this Christmas. The newly released pictures show Julie Hesmondhalgh, Helena Wilson, Ellie McKay, Liv Andrusier and Lizzie Back – seen for the first time on set – with the actors posing alongside a clapperboard. Created, written and executive produced by Heidi Thomas, the special takes the long-running BBC drama back to Poplar in 1939, following younger versions of familiar Nonnatus House figures alongside a new team of midwives. DC Comics fans have finally got a closer look at HBO’s Green Lantern-inspired mystery series, Lanterns, in an official full-length trailer. The series stars Aaron Pierre (Mufasa, Rebel Ridge) and Kyle Chandler (Godzilla) as John Stewart and Hal Jordan respectively, both members of the titular intergalactic police force.
