BAFTA Film Awards Nominations 2026: Watch the Livestream
The nominees for the 2026 EE BAFTA film awards are being unveiled in London on Tuesday. David Jonsson and Aimee Lou Wood are revealing the shortlists at 12 p.m. GMT (4 a.m. PT) in a livestream from the U.K. Academy’s headquarters at 195 Piccadilly in the British capital. Earlier this month, the longlists for each category — the results of the first round of voting for the honors — were unveiled. They were led by Paul Thomas Anderson’s political thriller One Battle After Another with 16 mentions on the longlists, Chloé Zhao’s Shakespearean heartbreaker Hamnet (14), and Ryan Coogler’s vampire film Sinners (14). Also having a strong presence on the longlists: Josh Safdie’s ping-pong caper Marty Supreme (13), Yorgos Lanthimos’ black comedy Bugonia (12), and Guillermo del Toro’s gothic Frankenstein (12), plus Joachim Trier’s Sentimental Value and Jon M. Chu’s Wicked: For Good appeared eight times each. Apart from Wicked, they are all in contention for best film, as are The Ballad of Wallis Island, Nuremberg and I Swear.
