Iconic 00s Scottish TV series confirmed to be revived for an all-new “family saga”

Iconic Scottish TV series Monarch of the Glen is officially returning to screens, with a new revival of the series coming to 5. The new series, which is being produced by Ecosse Films – makers of the original Monarch of the Glen series – and Masterpiece PBS, is being described as “a fresh reimagining” of the iconic show, which aired between 2000 and 2005 and is loosely based on the Highland Novels series by Sir Compton Mackenzie. The revival will return to the Scottish Highlands for “a rich, romantic and humorous family saga rooted in legacy, love and survival”, 5 has teased. “When high-flying London lawyer Isla Campbell finds herself back at her family’s crumbling Highland estate for her estranged father’s funeral, she expects to be gone in days,” the official plot synopsis teases. “Instead, she discovers she has inherited a million-pound debt, a bank closing in, and a brother who refuses to let go of their ancestral home. Hustle was one of the BBC’s most popular crime shows during the 00s, with the programme attracting millions of viewers during its eight-year run. The show followed the exploits of ‘Mickey Bricks’ Stone, played by Adrian Lester, and his team of con artists, who specialise in a ‘long con’. The characters adopted a Robin Hood mentality, only targeting immoral marks before rinsing them of their cash. Despite the show coming to a conclusion in 2012, many fans have been hoping for its return, and during an appearance on BBC Breakfast on Wednesday, Adrian revealed that there were “conversations” around a revival of the gritty show. Hugh Jackman has starred in dozens of blockbusters hits, from the X-Men franchise to The Greatest Showman, but the actor also has plenty of other forgotten films. One of these is 2006’s The Fountain, in which the Australian actor starred as three characters in the film, which spanned from the 16th century to the space age. Three separate narratives threads are told in the film, which features Hugh’s characters attempting to find the secret to eternal life. The synopsis for the film reads: “A man travels through time on a quest for immortality and to save the woman he loves. As a 16th-century conquistador, Tomas searches for the legendary Fountain of Youth. As a present-day scientist, he desperately struggles to cure the cancer that is killing his wife. 2000’s pop star Willa Ford made a triumphant return to the stage on Friday when she performed her newest single, “Love4Life”, on the Today show. The 44-year-old looked incredible in a white silk pantsuit with a lacy white bra underneath, as she wore her blonde locks down in beachy waves. The star completed the look with strappy black stilettos and glowy makeup.
