The flagship tracker hadn’t been updated since its release, so the launch of the Gen 2 was a needed facelift.  Since its 2021 debut, Apple’s original Bluetooth tracker has been used to monitor the location of all kinds of devices. People use the device to track their luggage through an airport, as well as their keys, bags, wallets, and other valuable items that are commonly misplaced.  The Gen 2 AirTags notably received a louder speaker and an expanded location range. Apple today released new firmware for its second-generation AirTag item trackers. The firmware has a 3.0.45 version number, up from 3.0.41, and it is the first firmware update that Apple has provided for the ‌AirTag‌ 2 that launched in January 2026. ‌AirTag‌ updates are infrequent, and there is no word yet on what’s included in the new firmware. Apple has shared release notes in the past, and software updates are usually bug fixes and improvements. In the past, new ‌AirTag‌ firmware was distributed on a rolling basis over two weeks, but it appears the latest firmware is available for all ‌AirTag‌ 2 users immediately. You can check your ‌AirTag‌ firmware by opening up the Find My app, going to the Items tab, tapping on an ‌AirTag‌ in the list, and tapping on the ‌AirTag‌’s name to see its firmware version. Apple is working on an AI wearable device that’s been described as a pin or a pendant. Apple is experimenting with the device right now, but if development moves forward, it could launch as soon as 2027. We’ve rounded up everything we know about the AI pin so far. Design The pin is said to be similar in size to an AirTag, with a thin, flat, circular disc shape. It features an aluminum and glass shell, and there’s a physical control button on one edge. Apple apparently wants the final version of the device to be about the same size as an ‌AirTag‌, but with the hardware inside, it will be slightly thicker. Xiaomi today launched a slew of gadgets ahead of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona including a camera-focused flagship smartphone, an AirTag clone, Xiaomi Watch 5 smartwatch, and an ultra slim power bank. The China-based company has partnered with camera maker Leica to co-brand its Xiaomi 17 Ultra smartphone. As part of the partnership, it is using Leica lenses and creating filters in the style of the German camera company. The phone has a 50-megapixel main sensor with an F/1.67 aperture and a 1-inch sensor. But the main attraction is the 200-megapixel telephoto camera that has a variable focal length of 75mm-100mm equivalent. That means you can zoom optically between 3.2x and 4.3x. The phone also has a 50 MP ultrawide camera with an f/2.2 aperture.
