Lisa Kudrow on ‘The Comeback’ Finale, Saying Bye to Valerie Cherish

[This story contains major spoilers from the season 3 and series finale of The Comeback.] That’s a wrap on Lisa Kudrow as Valerie Cherish — forever. The Comeback aired episode 8 of the HBO Max’s third and final season Sunday night as Cherish bowed out at the end of an eventful episode that welcomed surprise guest stars Bradley Whitford, Adam Scott and Justin Theroux and saw Cherish tangle with NuNet boss, played by Andrew Scott, over the future of her career and the fate of her show How’s That?! The pair appeared in a video segment as part of Neon‘s presentation in Las Vegas to promote director Chloe Domont‘s movie that hits theaters Dec. 25 and also includes Andrew Scott and Danny Huston in the cast. A Place in Hell stars Williams as Rebecca, a pregnant criminal defense attorney who develops tension with a younger lawyer (Edgar-Jones) as they team up on a challenging case. “She’s taking over your cases until you get back,” Huston informs Williams as she prepares for parental leave. Later, Edgar-Jones warns Williams, “If you think you can just push me out of the way, then I would advise you to take a bigger swing.” Williams goes on to lament, “This is my whole life. This is everything I’ve ever worked for.” Edgar-Jones has a memorable moment in the footage when she declares, “I’m not just going to replace you, Rebecca. I’m going to destroy your fucking life.” In …

Paddington in Peru hit theaters in 2024 as the third title in the series that originated with Paul King’s initial 2014 movie about author Michael Bond’s beloved literary character. Spearing also announced that the company is partnering with The Picture Company to develop a reimagining of John Carpenter’s 1981 cult favorite Escape From New York.
