Court Documents Reveal Confession Note Hand Written By Alleged Kirk Assassin

In September of 2025, prosecutors in the Charlie Kirk murder case alleged that they had access to a hand-written note left by prime suspect Tyler Robinson for his trans boyfriend which contained a confession to the crime.  Tyler Robinson, 22, left a note under a keyboard for his roommate/romantic partner to discover, said Utah County Attorney Jeffrey Gray.   According to Mr Gray, the note said: “I had the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk, and I’m going to take it.”  Newly unsealed court documents now reveal that this letter does indeed exist.  An affidavit for a search warrant outlined a letter that Tyler Robinson allegedly wrote before Charlie Kirk’s assassination.  Robinson is accused of shooting and killing the conservative political activist on September 10, 2025, at Utah Valley University. Detectives seized ammunition, computers, a DNA sample, and a copy of a note that Robinson allegedly left for his roommate, with whom he had a romantic relationship.  The affidavit states that an FBI agent met with Robinson’s partner, Lance Twiggs, whom Robinson sometimes referred to as “Luna.”  …

Prime Video has confirmed that The Assassin will be back on our screens for a second season, while also announcing who’s set to return. The second season of the acclaimed thriller, created and written by Harry and Jack Williams, was previously reported to be in the works, but now we have the news that it is officially on its way, with production set to begin later this year. The main cast will return for the new run, with Keeley Hawes (Bodyguard) set to return as Julie, the former assassin whose quiet life on an idyllic Greek island was turned upside down in season 1 when her son Eddie (Freddie Highmore) arrived looking for answers around his paternity. Highmore will also back as Edward, while Shalom Brune-Franklin (Baby Reindeer) will reprise her role as Kayla, Edward’s savvy fiancée. Even on his birthday, Andrew Reyna couldn’t turn down an order from the Mexican Mafia. That’s according to a Long Beach Police Department detective who testified Wednesday about evidence that led authorities to charge Reyna and two others with the murder of Samuel Villalba. Villalba, an Artesia native nicknamed “Negro,” was said to have been a made member of the Mexican Mafia, a prison syndicate that holds sway over many Latino gangs in Southern California. At the time of his death on Jan. 10, 2021, Villalba, 64, was living in a tent beneath a freeway overpass in Long Beach. Prosecutors allege Reyna was ordered to kill Villalba, who’d been marked for death after getting into a dispute with another Mexican Mafia member. At a preliminary hearing Wednesday, Det. Leticia Gamboa testified the message was relayed through David Oropeza, who like Reyna belonged to the Eastside Paramount gang. Reyna’s lawyer, Theodore Batsakis, said his client denies killing Villalba but declined to comment further. Reyna and Oropeza have pleaded not guilty to charges of murder and conspiracy …

A Japanese court on Wednesday will sentence a man who’s admitted assassinating former Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe, a case that revealed decades of cozy ties between Japan’s governing party and a controversial South Korean church. Abe, one of Japan’s most influential politicians, was serving as a regular lawmaker after leaving the prime minister’s job when he was killed in 2022 while campaigning in the western city of Nara. It shocked a nation with strict gun control. Tetsuya Yamagami, 45, pleaded guilty to murder in the trial that started in October, and Wednesday’s ruling will determine how long he’ll spend in prison.  Yamagami said he killed Abe after seeing a video message the former leader sent to a group affiliated with the Unification Church.
