During the visit, French defense giant MBDA also signed a contract to continue support for the Greek army’s Mica missiles. In parallel, the two leaders insisted on the need to clarify how the EU’s mutual defense clause — Article 42.7 of the Treaty on the EU — would work in practice, while stressing that the clause should not be seen as a replacement for NATO’s Article 5 security guarantee. The 52-year-old Greek director on Friday inaugurated an exhibition of his photographs in his hometown of Athens, presenting images he has taken over the past five years — many captured while making his films, wandering through movie sets and nearby neighborhoods, or on trips back to Greece. The exhibition gathers 182 still photographs, in color and in black and white, from the filmmaker known for his distinctive — and often disturbing — cinematic style. It opens days before Lanthimos returns to Hollywood for the March 15 Academy Awards ceremony. In his latest film, “Bugonia,” a pair of conspiracy‑obsessed men kidnap a powerful female executive they accuse of being an alien. The executive producer of hit TV spy thriller Tehran has been found dead in an Athens hotel, police have said. Dana Eden was in Greece filming the fourth season of the show, Israeli state broadcaster Kan reported. Police said she was found dead on Sunday in a hotel room and an investigation had been launched. The 52-year-old Israeli was found after a relative made several failed attempts to reach her. The cause of death has not been confirmed but police said it was being treated as suicide based on evidence and testimonies.
