AMC will stream ‘The Audacity’ premiere in 21 parts on TikTok
While it’s not unusual for networks to promote new shows by releasing full episodes on YouTube, AMC is doing something a bit different for its Silicon Valley-focused comedy “The Audacity.” The show’s premiere will be available on TikTok, starting on Sunday morning. It will be split into 21 segments, each lasting about three minutes, according to Deadline. The segments will be numbered, allowing users to watch the premiere in its entirety if they choose. This could be a smart way to build buzz among younger viewers for a show that AMC’s chief marketing officer described as the network biggest launch of the year. Or it might just be an odd attempt to recreate Quibi. At CES 2026, AMC debuted clips from its upcoming TV series “The Audacity,” created by Jonathan Glatzer, a TV writer and producer for shows like “Succession,” “Better Call Saul,” and “Bloodline.” The new show will focus on how the men and women of Silicon Valley are shaping the world we live in today. “They’re literally laying the cement on the freeway that we’re all driving down with things like AI, data collection, social media, etc. And there couldn’t be any more important group, in my opinion, to be taking a deep-dive look at than the men and women in Silicon Valley who are shaping the lives that we live,” explained Dan McDermott, chief content officer at AMC Networks and president of AMC Studios, speaking at the Variety Entertainment Summit at CES. Jonathan Glatzer wasn’t particularly familiar with Silicon Valley when the president of AMC Studios, Dan McDermott, approached him about making a show set in the tech capital. Still, he was intrigued. “I don’t know shit about tech, but those people do seem to be quite curious to me,” he told McDermott. After the Emmy-winning writer and producer spent some time inside the Northern California bubble, he was fully on board. “I found this world to be such a strange, silly place. It humanized them for me, as these big-brain people, and it also terrified me a little bit,” he tells Vanity Fair. Glatzer’s upcoming eight-episode series, The Audacity, is a darkly comic drama about ambition in the tech bubble, centered on a rich cast of characters led by Duncan Park (Billy Magnussen)—an audacious data-mining CEO who will stop at nothing to amass profit and power.
