Nothing Teases 4A Phone: No Pink Option, but a Brand-New Glyph

Nothing apparently wants to leave nothing much to the imagination. The British company teased its new 4A phone on Monday, but without the bright pink color some expected. Potential customers did get a look at the latest iteration of the company’s Glyph notification system, the Glyph Bar. In a post on Monday on X, accompanied by the words, “Built different,” Nothing showed the back of its new 4A phone — in only white and shades of gray. It wasn’t quite the “bold new experimentation of color” that CEO Carl Pei had hinted at on Instagram, which seemed to suggest the 4A might experiment with pink. The X post also revealed Nothing’s new Glyph Bar, which consists of seven small square LED lights to the right of the camera. The Glyph interface is a light pattern on all Nothing phones. These lights are basically notifications for things like incoming calls and texts, battery charging, deliveries and more, all without turning on the main screen. According to FOMA, their beaks are essential survival tools, but can also be used with “precision and gentleness, applying only the pressure needed to tend to a fragile chick.” When first born, a chick will receive some yummy regurgitated fish oil as one of its earliest meals. Chicks this young are fed a nutritious oily mix of partially digested squid and fish eggs. Every year, Laysan albatross return to this wildlife refuge on the northeastern edge of the Hawaiian Archipelago and reunite with their mates. If all goes well—as it has for this pair—the female birds will lay one egg …

Mark Wahlberg Picked Up the Brand-New MoonSwatch

Mega-collector Mark Wahlberg knows his way around a fine Swiss watch. From complicated Patek Philippe world timers to white gold Rolex Submariners, he’s worn some of the finest pieces known to collectors. The actor isn’t above the charms of an affordable watch. Just last month he was spotted wearing a humble Timex Ironman—street price: $58—during the Las Vegas Grand Prix. Recently, Wahlberg posted a video of himself going to pick up the latest Omega and Swatch product, the Mission to Earthphase – Moonshine Gold “Cold Moon.” “I got that Sky Moon,” he said, referring to a rare Patek Philippe, “now I got that Cold Moon,” he bragged. The new “Cold Moon” is the newest in a long line of limited-edition MoonSwatches. The model’s white dial and strap complemented Wahlberg’s monochromatic ensemble perfectly, but there are plenty more reasons Wahlberg probably coveted this watch. The “Cold Moon” features a cool “Earthpase” register that displays the Earth as viewed from the Moon—a complication unique to Swatch. Released late in 2024, the Mission to Earthphase has itself seen …
