Waiting for the Out writer reveals chances of a second season

BBC drama Waiting for the Out adapts the memoir by Andy West, The Life Inside, which charts West’s experiences teaching philosophy to prisoners, while also grappling with his own family history, as three of the men closest to him had also spent time locked up. As with many book adaptations, there series covers a lot of the ground from the written text, although some fairly substantial changes have been made, with the lead character being called Dan rather than Andy, to further denote the differences between the two. However, just because much of the book has already been adapted, that doesn’t mean a season 2 wouldn’t be possible – something writer Dennis Kelly expanded on when speaking with RadioTimes.com and other press. When asked whether there was potential for the drama to continue on in a second season, Kelly said: “The truth is, I talked, literally yesterday, to an executive producer and asked the same question.” Francis Lovehall as Dris, Alex Ferns as Keith, Josef Altin as Greg, Steven Meo as Macca, Josh Finan as …

How to increase your chances of sticking with your resolutions

How to increase your chances of sticking with your resolutions

The beginning of every new year comes with resolutions and plans for behavior change. Often the quest to improve health behaviors, such as losing weight, increasing physical activity or quitting tobacco is short-lived. Estimates vary, but by some accounts, as many as 80 percent of people fail to meet their resolution by mid-February. One study followed 200 people with New Year’s resolutions and reported that 81 percent of them failed to maintain their health behaviors after two years. The reasons vary. With the case of cigarettes, people are dealing with a highly addictive product. For example, about 95 percent of people relapse after six to 12 months of abstinence when they try to quit smoking on their own. Regardless of the severity of your addiction or even if you do not have an addiction, change is very hard. People often have not explored their reasons for making the change or how ready they are. They also may not have come up with a plan. And, they may simply not realize how hard it is to …

Russia says chances of peace not improved changes to proposals

Russian President Vladimir Putin speaks, as he visits the command post of the Russian forces “West” grouping in the course of Russia-Ukraine conflict, in unidentified location, in this still image taken from video released Nov. 20, 2025. Kremlin.ru | Via Reuters Russian President Vladimir Putin’s top foreign policy aide said on Sunday that changes made by the Europeans and Ukraine to U.S. proposals for an end to the war in Ukraine did not improve prospects for peace. The U.S.-drafted proposals for an end to the nearly four-year-old war, leaked to the media last month, raised European and Ukrainian concerns that they were tilted too far in Russia’s favour and that U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration could push Kyiv into conceding too much. Since then, European and Ukrainian negotiators have met with Trump envoys in an attempt to add their own proposals into the U.S. drafts, though the exact contents of the current proposal have not been disclosed. Kremlin foreign policy aide Yuri Ushakov told reporters in Moscow that the European and Ukrainian changes would not …

What are the chances of an asteroid hitting Earth?

computer program: A set of instructions that a computer uses to perform some analysis or computation. The writing of these instructions is known as computer programming. context: The setting or circumstances that help explain an event, some statement or some conclusion. data: Facts and/or statistics collected together for analysis but not necessarily organized in a way that gives them meaning. For digital information (the type stored by computers), those data typically are numbers stored in a binary code, portrayed as strings of zeros and ones. dinosaur: A term that means terrible lizard. These reptiles emerged around 243 million years ago. All descended from egg-laying reptiles known as archosaurs. Their descendants eventually split into two lines. For many decades, they have been distinguished by their hips. The lizard-hipped line are believed to have led to the saurischians, such as two-footed theropods like T. rex and the lumbering four-footed Apatosaurus. A second line of so-called bird-hipped, or ornithischian dinosaurs, appears to have led to a widely differing group of animals that included the stegosaurs and duckbilled dinosaurs. Many large dinosaurs died out …
