Clark uses Augusta’s beauty as his secret weapon in Masters charge

April 10 : Former U.S. Open champion Wyndham Clark used patience, positivity and the sheer beauty of Augusta National Golf Club to vault himself into Masters contention on Friday. World number 78 Clark, who began the day five shots off the pace set by overnight co-leaders Rory McIlroy and Sam Burns, carded a four-under-par 68 to reach four under for the tournament, making his move on a warm, sunny day with firmer and faster conditions that promised to test the field’s later starters. After his round, Clark revealed an unconventional but effective way he keeps himself grounded when the pressure mounts on the famous Georgia layout. “One of the things here is you look up and see where you are at, one of the most beautiful places in the country,” said Clark. “Then also maybe sometimes looking ahead on some of the holes coming up and say, hey, I still got birdie looks, even if I just made a bogey.” Clark, who won his lone major at Los Angeles Country Club two years ago, wasted little time …

Carol Clark: Police appeal over woman murdered more than 30 years ago | UK News

Detectives investigating the murder of a woman who was found dead by a canal more than 30 years ago have made a fresh appeal for help to find who killed her. Carol Clark’s partially clothed body was found by a dog walker in reeds and undergrowth at the side of the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal. The 32-year-old sex worker, who lived in Bristol, had been strangled and her neck had been broken. She was last seen getting into a Volvo car in the Montpelier area of the city at about 11.30pm on 26 March 1993. Detectives said she was “wearing distinctive clothing” when she went missing – a black baseball cap, brown leather jacket, blue denim mini skirt, black polo-neck jumper and plain blue T-shirt. Hours earlier she had left a note for her boyfriend saying she was going out to find work. She planned to be home by 2.30am, but she never returned. When she was discovered two days later close to the water at Sharpness Docks, she was wearing only her underwear and …

Rylan Clark new favourite to host Strictly Come Dancing

Rylan Clark new favourite to host Strictly Come Dancing

Rylan Clark is reportedly the new favourite to host Strictly Come Dancing. The 37-year-old presenter – who shot to fame when he competed on rival show The X Factor and also hosted Strictly’s spin-off It Takes Two between 2019 and 2023 – is said to have been invited to an audition, where he will be paired with potential female co-hosts, including Irish broadcaster Angela Scanlon, who competed on the Latin and ballroom show three years ago. A source told the Daily Mail: “Rylan has a long-standing association with the show, and Angela has been a contestant. “But the main thing is they’d be a totally new pairing – no baggage, no former shows, uniquely Strictly. “On top of that, they want to be sure that an all-female presenting line-up isn’t replaced by an old-fashioned male-female duo where the man takes on a dominant role. “Rylan isn’t like that at all. Plus, he absolutely loves the show and the viewers already love him.” Sources close to Rylan insisted he would “bite the BBC’s hand off” to …

Strictly bosses torn between Bradley Walsh, Rylan Clark or Johannes Radebe

Strictly bosses torn between Bradley Walsh, Rylan Clark or Johannes Radebe

Strictly Come Dancing bosses are torn between Bradley Walsh, Rylan Clark or Johannes Radebe to present the show. The trio are in the running to be one of the people to replace departed co-presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman on the BBC One dance show as TV bosses are keen to have a male presenter for the first time since Sir Bruce Forsyth. A source told The Sun on Sunday: “Bradley and Rylan have been tipped for the gig, but Johannes is a new contender. “All are very keen to land the role and offer a different perspective. “The intention would be to team the chosen man up with a female. It will be a return to the years when Tess co-hosted with Bruce, which was a very popular format. “The show’s executive producers feel Bradley has a similar style to Bruce — he can tell jokes, sing and has lots of charisma. “Rylan has a massive fanbase and used to host Strictly spin-off It Takes Two, while Johannes offers expertise.” Show bosses are said …

Clark Art Institute Promotes Esther Bell to Director

Clark Art Institute Promotes Esther Bell to Director

The Clark Art Institute in Williamstown, Massachusetts, has promoted Esther Bell, its deputy director and chief curator, to serve as the museum’s sixth director. She begins in the post on July 1. Bell is the first woman to hold the role in the Clark’s 70-year history. She will succeed Olivier Meslay, who has been the director since 2016 and announced last year that he will move back to France in 2026. Having joined the Clark in 2017, she was among Meslay’s early hires; she was elevated to the role of deputy director in 2022. But her relationship with the Clark dates back to 2001 when she studied in the graduate program of art history at Williams College, which is jointly administered at the Clark. (She now teaches courses in that department.) Related Articles “I first met Esther Bell in 2003 when she was pursuing a Fulbright Fellowship at the Musée du Louvre,” Meslay said in a statement. “I knew then that she was an exceptional art historian and I have watched her forge a brilliant career. …

How Every NFL Team Left Can Win the Super Bowl, According to ESPN’s Ryan Clark

After spending the better part of the last five months taking a fine-tooth comb to the entire league, ESPN NFL analyst Ryan Clark now has to adjust to a football landscape that includes just four teams. With this weekend’s conference championship games upon us—pitting the Denver Broncos and New England Patriots against each other on one side of the bracket, and the division rival Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams on the other—Clark has zeroed in on all the minute details that will make Sunday’s games so juicy. Games of this magnitude often come down to things like special teams mishaps or anonymous players fumbling at the worst possible moment. Clark, who played safety in the NFL for 13 years and won a Super Bowl with the Steelers, is well aware of the balletic havoc that defines January football. A man who took the field for eight postseason games during his playing career, and has now been talking ball on ESPN for over a decade, Clark essentially has a PhD in football. Crucially to this …
