Timothée Chalamet Hit the Beach in One of 2026’s Most Slept-On Sneaker Collabs

Timothée Chalamet Hit the Beach in One of 2026’s Most Slept-On Sneaker Collabs

Timothée Chalamet stays loyal. He tends to work with his favorite directors—like Luca Guadagnino, Greta Gerwig, and Denis Villenueve—on multiple projects. He’s been a diehard Knicks fan since childhood, of course. On the red carpet, he sticks mainly to grails by Haider Ackermann and Chrome Hearts. And over the last few years, as far as his casual wardrobe is concerned, Chalamet’s been closely associated with one brand above all: the Los Angeles streetwear label Nahmias, with whom he collaborated on last year’s mega-viral Marty Supreme jacket. The actor’s latest Nahmias sighting took place over the weekend in Miami, where he was enjoying some brief R&R before heading back to New York for the Knicks’ Game 2 loss to the Hawks on Monday night. On the beach on Friday, Chalamet sported a typically relaxed off-duty ensemble: oversized Supreme tee, baggy shorts, rimless shades, and a Nahmias trucker cap. He tied the whole look together with one of the year’s most slept-on sneaker collabs—the Nahmias x Puma Speedcat, which dropped earlier this month. Timothée Chalamet in Miami …

J.Press and Alex Mill Just Kicked Off JFK Jr. Summer

J.Press and Alex Mill Just Kicked Off JFK Jr. Summer

J.Press has the juice right now. For generations, the century-old American institution has outfitted guys in crisp Oxford shirts, boxy sack suits, and heirloom-grade Shetland sweaters, and rarely has it strayed from that heritage. But thanks to an injection of fresh energy courtesy of creative director Jack Carlson—bolstered by, y’know, a new cohort of JFK Jr. wannabes—the preppy stalwart has found itself once again at the center of the menswear discourse. Case in point: a just-dropped link-up with the next-gen prepsters at Alex Mill, whose reliably cheery menswear riffs on the exact type of wholesome Americana J.Press perfected decades ago. You know those collaborations that scan like shameless cash grabs with no real regard for either party’s legacy, let alone their actual customers? This ain’t one of them. Instead, the duo’s second effort picks up right where the first left off, remixing J.Press catalog classics in a kaleidoscope of sun-drenched spring hues. We’re talking garment-dyed chore coats cut from hardy recycled cotton blends, beefy rugby shirts in a Crayola’s box of colors, and at least …

Banana Republic Reissued Some of the Greatest Gorpcore in Vintage History

Banana Republic Reissued Some of the Greatest Gorpcore in Vintage History

Menswear writers love to say shit like “Banana Republic needs no introduction” and then spend the next 250 words introducing Banana Republic. So for everybody’s sake, let’s skip the preamble where we wax on about the retailer’s good-again office gear, and provide a little bit of context instead. Because Banana Republic might not need introducing, but its Archive Reissue line warrants a little explaining. Here’s the deal: Before BR was a reliable source of blessedly non-cursed 9-to-5 clothing, it was a bona fide outdoors outfitter hawking some of the sickest functional gear on the planet—gear that had long sat gathering dust in the brand’s archives, a bummer for anyone into the type of deeply influential proto-gorpcore we keep talking about right now. That changes today. After testing the waters with a series of long-since-sold-out vintage releases, BR is teaming up with the vaunted adventurers at the Explorers Club to reproduce some of the greatest hits from its nearly 50-year run. This, to put it mildly, is a big deal, and not just for the type …

James Harden’s Latest Adidas Sneaker Is a Salute to Nipsey Hussle

James Harden’s Latest Adidas Sneaker Is a Salute to Nipsey Hussle

Seven years after his tragic passing, you can still feel Nipsey Hussle’s presence all over Los Angeles. You’ll hear his music booming in the arena at a Lakers game, see his face on countless murals across the city. Go to a rap show here, and the artist almost certainly drop a “Rest in peace, Nip” from the stage. And hit the streets, and you’re more than likely to spot a person or two rocking a hoodie or hat from The Marathon Clothing, Hussle’s beloved streetwear label, which takes its name from his seminal 2010 mixtape The Marathon and its 2011 sequel The Marathon Continues. This weekend, as part of its mission to keep its founder’s legacy alive, the brand is dropping its first-ever sneaker collaboration with Adidas and Compton native James Harden. After kicking the year off with a blockbuster Willy Chavarria linkup, Harden’s signature line is doubling down on the Cleveland Cavaliers star’s California roots with a moving tribute to his close friend and mentor Hussle. The TMC x Adidas Harden Vol. 10 decks …

Zara and Willy Chavarria Unveil a Fully Realized Menswear Fantasy

Zara and Willy Chavarria Unveil a Fully Realized Menswear Fantasy

Over the last few years, Zara has assembled a corps d’elite of design talent to bolster its fashion-world pedigree, collaborating with longtime industry heavyweights like Stefano Pilati and behind-the-scenes savants like Aaron Levine. As of today, that buzzy Rolodex also includes Willy Chavarria, the SoCal-raised, Mexican-American designer whose vision of Chicano-influenced menswear has never looked more urgent. VATÍSIMO, the designer’s first collaboration with the Spanish retail giant, is deeply rooted in perennial Chavarria influences—community and camaraderie are never far from his mind—including the singular style of some of the best-dressed men on the planet: his customers. The Willy Chavarria man, the designer tells GQ, is “someone who leads with humanity. He’s strong, but also vulnerable. He understands style as a form of expression, not status.” So what better way to promote the collaboration than with a telenovela? Directed by Glen Luchford in conjunction with Chavarria himself, the high-drama short film features supermodel Christy Turlington and actor Alberto Guerra quarreling their way through a thorny love quadrangle, decked out in head-to-toe Chavarria throughout, of course. That’s …

Awake NY and Gap’s New Collab Is a Love Letter to ’90s New York

Awake NY and Gap’s New Collab Is a Love Letter to ’90s New York

As far as Angelo Baque is concerned, Gap belongs in the canon of ’90s New York street style. For the Awake NY founder and designer, his introduction to the something-for-everybody brand came before his inevitable descent into Polo, Hilfiger, and Nautica—the holy trinity of the city’s swaggering, hip-hop-inspired style in that era. “Gap was always a part of my life,” Baque says. “It was one of those staple brands. It was what you wore when you stepped out into the world.” Now, Awake NY and Gap are paying homage to that golden age with a new collaboration set to launch this week. Before Baque became a New York streetwear lifer—growing Awake into a downtown institution after an influential stint as Supreme’s brand director—he was just a kid in Queens who learned about everything cool from his older sister. He recalls watching her put outfits together before heading out into the city’s club scene—an early education in the links between music and style, personal expression and youthful attitude. And a major part of those outfits was …

One of Virgil Abloh’s Most Iconic Nike Collaborations Is Finally Back

One of Virgil Abloh’s Most Iconic Nike Collaborations Is Finally Back

Back in 2017, Virgil Abloh and Nike launched The Ten, a landmark project that applied the designer’s kitschy, desconstructionalist approach to a handful of the most beloved Swoosh kicks of all time. Nine years after the initial drop, and nearly half a decade after Abloh’s untimely passing, the collection remains deeply beloved among sneakerheads, a high bar for footwear design in the 21st century. Now, one of Abloh’s most iconic Nike shoes is making a long-awaited comeback: the Virgil Abloh Archive x Air Jordan 1 ‘Alaska.’ Courtesy of Virgil Abloh Archive The Virgil Abloh Archive, spearheaded by Abloh’s widow Shannon, is a collection of over 20,000 objects from Abloh’s career, including prototypes of never-released products, stacks of notebooks filled with sketches, rare high-fashion grails, and over 6,000 pairs of sneakers. And after making its public-facing debut with an exhibition in Paris last year titled ‘Virgil Abloh: The Codes,’ the organization is reigniting the late visionary’s partnership with Nike. J. Press Just Dropped the Preppiest Watch of the Year

J. Press Just Dropped the Preppiest Watch of the Year

Ivy Style stalwart J. Press is best known for authentic preppy mainstays like flannel sack suits, Shaggy Dog sweaters, and OCBDs, but following the recent arrival of creative director Jack Carlson, there’s been a palpable vibe shift at the 124-year-old brand. Carlson is best known as the founder of Rowing Blazers, whose colorful takes on Ivy classics helped usher in the current prep revival, but he’s also a serious watch guy. In a move that seemed inevitable in the best possible way, he recently partnered with a British watchmaking mainstay to release the J. Press x Bamford London B80 Watch. Courtesy of J. Press Designed alongside independent watch brand Bamford London, the J. Press x Bamford London B80 combines an ultralight titanium case with an aesthetic drawn from the Ivy League’s glory days. Inspired by the vintage pennant tote bags and umbrellas Carlson created for last season’s J. Press collection, the watch’s standout feature is a dial with 11 multicolored varsity-style pennants, each bearing the hours of the day spelled out in place of standard …

3sixteen and Saucony Cooked up the Spring’s Freshest Sneaker Collab

3sixteen and Saucony Cooked up the Spring’s Freshest Sneaker Collab

When the denim masterminds at 3sixteen revealed their first-ever sneaker collaboration last year with Saucony, it felt like a breath of fresh air. When an indie label links up with a sneaker giant, the brand’s point of view has a tendency to get sanded down in the creative process. That most certainly didn’t happen with 3sixteen’s hand-dyed interpretations of Saucony’s classic Peregrine 15 trail runners, which felt right in line with the New York-based line’s commitment to artisanal craftsmanship. “Our first project had a lot to communicate,” says 3sixteen cofounder Andrew Chen. “As a denim brand rooted in craft, we had to consider how that perspective could translate to an athletic sneaker produced at a much larger scale—even one designed with intention.” Now, for the sequel, 3sixteen and Saucony are taking the partnership in an unexpected direction, skipping over the latter’s more iconic runners in favor of an early-aughts training shoe: the Guide v7.3, whose chunky silhouette reminded Chen and his partner Johan Lam of the techy aesthetics that dominated their youth. Timex’s Latest Snoopy Collab Is Ready for the Pickleball Court

Timex’s Latest Snoopy Collab Is Ready for the Pickleball Court

While countless Snoopy tickers have been produced over the years, his proper foray into the watch world began in 1968, shortly after the moon landing. Creator Charles Schulz, a longtime supporter of NASA’s space program, allowed for Snoopy to be used as a mascot for the Apollo missions, which led to NASA awarding the ‘Silver Snoopy Award’ (commemorated by way of a silver lapel pin featuring an astronaut Snoopy) to those who they deemed displayed, “professionalism, dedication, and outstanding support that greatly enhanced space flight safety and mission success.” Among the earliest recipients of the Silver Snoopy? Omega, the famed maker of the official Speedmaster Moonwatch. Decades later, in 2002, the brand would produce the first-ever Snoopy Speedmaster, this one dubbed the ‘Silver Snoopy’ and featuring the spacefaring doggo on the left subdial. Courtesy of Timex From there, the world’s most famous beagle has been a constant presence on watch faces, from Speedies to Seikos and even a Franck Muller x Bamford collab. And that’s to say nothing of the Snoopy MoonSwatches, which have been …
