The 27-year-old labor and delivery nurse suffered acute liver failure on the second day of her trip to Japan and returned to Texas on an emergency medical evacuation flight. The cause of the liver failure is unclear. Since she was first hospitalised abroad on April 9, Danh has remained in a coma and on life support.
