Prince Edward and Sophie shuffle Easter accommodation plans as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor causes Sandringham complications
The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh have rearranged their Sandringham accommodation plans ahead of this year’s Easter service with the rest of the Royal Family. Prince Edward, 62, and his wife, Sophie, 61, traditionally stay at Wood Farm, a farmhouse about two miles from the main house, on the edge of the 20,000-acre estate in Norfolk. However, this year, due to complications with Edward’s brother, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s, living arrangements, the farmhouse will not be an option for the youngest son of the late Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip. Andrew, 66, moved into Wood Farm after he was evicted from his long-term residence in Windsor, the Grade-II listed Georgian mansion, Royal Lodge, where he lived with his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, since 2004. He was stripped of his titles last October by his brother, King Charles III, and forced to move to Norfolk, where he awaited renovations to be done on his new Wolferton home, Marsh Farm.
