In a world of Spotify and Apple Music, vinyl records are still going strong as an audio medium. Last year, vinyl record sales reached over $1 billion for the first time this century, proving that music lovers are still drawn to the art of listening to and collecting records.  Also: I listened to Sony, Bose, and Apple’s flagship headphones – and this pair’s ahead of the pack With all these record sales, you have to have a way to play them, and turntables have now entered the 21st century with features like Bluetooth and USB outputs to record vinyl to digital. Joel Kinnaman breaks down his conflicted character in Detective Hole

Netflix subscribers tuning in to watch new Norwegian crime drama Detective Hole may be surprised by the presence of Hollywood star Joel Kinnaman in the cast. Although he has acted entirely in the US and in the English language for a long time now, Kinnaman is Swedish-American, and grew up in Sweden. The group was founded by Nora de Hoyos Comstock 25 years ago. Back then, she says, she was searching for her Mexican roots. “I didn’t feel included in the Latino community. I always felt left out,” she says. Las Comadres has since become a national nonprofit organization. De Hoyos Comstock, petite with a warm smile, describes Las Comadres as a “Latina culture club.” The current political rhetoric, characterized by the most aggressive immigration enforcement in modern history, is forcing many U.S. citizen Latinos to question whether they belong.
