Raphael Fonseca, Amanda Carneiro to Curate 2027 Bienal de São Paulo

The Bienal de São Paulo has announced the two chief curators for the 2027 edition of the Brazilian exhibition: Amanda Carneiro and Raphael Fonseca. The duo’s theme for the Bienal will be announced in the coming months. Held in Oscar Niemeyer–design Pavilhão Ciccillo Matarazzo in Ibirapuera Park, the exhibition is the largest of its kind in Latin America. “The selection of Amanda Carneiro and Raphael Fonseca for the 37th edition is part of this evolving history,” said Andrea Pinheiro, president of the Fundação Bienal de São Paulo, which manages the biennial. “For the second time, two Brazilian curators are taking on, together and on equal footing, the artistic leadership of an edition. Manson is the second guest curator of the week-long series, following Robert Smith of The Cure, who helmed this year’s successful run in March, which notably featured Garbage among its performers. The prestigious event, initiated by Teenage Cancer Trust honorary patron Sir Roger Daltrey in 2000, saw him curate the artists until 2025. To date, the concerts have collectively generated over £36 million for the charity. Manson’s curated series is scheduled to take place from March 15 to 21 next year, with her chosen line-up still awaiting announcement. Ekow Eshun to Curate Next SITE Santa Fe International

SITE Santa Fe has appointed independent curator Ekow Eshun as the organizer of the next SITE Santa Fe International. The exhibition’s 13th edition is scheduled to open in summer 2027. London-based Eshun, a former director of the Institute of Contemporary Art London, has recently drawn acclaim for organizing a number of high-profile exhibitions in the UK. In 2022, he curated “In the Black Fantastic” at the Hayward Gallery in London, which included 11 artists from the African diaspora, among them Nick Cave, Kara Walker, Wangechi Mutu, and Ellen Gallagher. You’ve Got a Public Reddit Profile. Here’s How to Curate It

To start making changes to what’s visible, click one of the Update buttons on the right. The Profile and Avatar options lead to options such as your display name and picture on Reddit, the social links you have displayed on your profile, and how you want Reddit to notify you about activity on the platform. Switch to the Privacy tab on the settings screen and you get some control over how visible your profile is. You have options to hide your profile from searches, to choose whether or not people can follow your activity on Reddit, and to control who can send you chat requests. You can, if you want, turn off chat requests altogether. To get to the new settings Reddit has just added, click Update next to Curate your profile on your actual profile page, or if you’re already on the main settings screen then open the Profile tab and scroll down to Curate your profile. Note that these options only affect what’s visible on your profile—they don’t affect posts and comments themselves. …
