With less than a month to go until Rivals returns for its second season, the show has unveiled a bumper-length trailer letting fans know what’s in store this time around. Although specific plot points are still being kept under wraps for the time being, the new trailer teases the return of David Tennant’s corrupt Lord Tony Baddingham, more of the fan-favourite romance between Danny Dyer’s Freddie Jones and Katherine Parkinson’s Lizzie Vereker and, of course, all the battling, bitching and bonking that made season one such a hit on both sides of the Atlantic. While Danny Dyer has more recently been seen in the likes of Rivals, Mr Bigstuff and fronting a brand new series with his daughter, the former EastEnders star is taking on a new kind of role in the upcoming film, One Last Deal. The one-man film sees Dyer take centre stage as football agent Jimmy Banks, who is trying to secure one last big payday for a superstar client. The problem is that the client in question is waiting on a verdict from an ongoing rape trial, and so, the football club won’t sign the deal if it all goes wrong. Dyer’s character Banks is intent on securing some kind of major deal as the film unfolds, but he is also contending with various other stresses from his life and an unwelcome unknown caller who is threatening to upend his life. Danny and Dani Dyer are headed back to Priory Hill and Nutts Farm as Sky commissions a second season of The Dyers’ Caravan Park. The series follows the father and daughter duo as they have big plans to revive a caravan park and turn it into the place Danny loved visiting in the ’80s.
