It’s a blistering 89 degrees in Indio, California, and the eight members of girl group BINI are packed inside a small trailer. With their team surrounding them, some carrying the flag of the Philippines, the young women are abuzz with nervous excitement. Electropop singer Slayyyter can be heard faintly through the not-so-soundproof walls of the trailer. Outside, a group of longtime fans and curious music lovers at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival await the moment the group takes the Mojave stage. BINI, sporting intricately beaded blue-turquoise ensembles, begins putting warrior-like gold dresses on top of their outfits thanks to the help of their backup dancers, a group of seven men who traveled with the girl group from the Philippines. The Santa Fe will launch as Hyundai’s first extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) in 2027. With its official debut coming up, the Santa FE EREV was spotted with a unique design. When is Hyundai launching the Santa Fe EREV? The Santa Fe is one of Hyundai’s most popular SUVs, so an electric version makes sense. However, this one won’t be fully electric. During its CEO Investor Day in September, Hyundai announced plans to launch its first extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) in 2027. While it didn’t say it would be the Santa Fe, recent spy shots confirmed Hyundai is testing an EREV variant. A camouflaged Santa Fe prototype was spotted in South Korea, with a sticker confirming it was in fact an extended-range EV. U.S. actress Christine Baranski will make her West End debut alongside Richard E. Grant in a new production of Noël Coward’s Hay Fever. The family comedy, directed by Emily Burns, also marks Saltburn star Grant’s return to the West End stage after 20 years. It’ll run at the Wyndham Theatre from September to December this year, with two-time Tony winner Baranski playing Judith Bliss and Grant as David Bliss. “Last year, Judith retired from her life on stage. Perfect Crown is Disney‘s new streaming king in the Korean drama category. The smash-hit rom-com, which launched on Disney+ on April 10, has achieved the platform’s biggest-ever viewership for a Korean series within five days of launch. Disney+ announced the record on Thursday but declined to release specific viewership figures, saying only that Perfect Crown has become the No. 1 most-viewed Korean series premiere on the platform globally. The series — which also airs domestically on MBC in Korea’s coveted Friday-Saturday prime-time slot — is set in an alternate-reality version of modern South Korea where the country remains a constitutional monarchy. Lila Raicek has been busy. Her play My Master Builder debuted last year at Wyndham’s Theater in London’s West End. It starred Kate Fleetwood, Elizabeth Debicki, and Ewan McGregor in his first play in over a decade. Meanwhile, Raicek has been adapting another play of hers (Vertebrae) into a TV series (Night Float) starring Nina Dobrev, while also developing a new play (Fire Season) for Broadway that Billy Crudup and Amanda Seyfried have been reading. But on a recent morning, the writer spoke to me from her home in New York about yet another project: her debut novel, The Plunge.  “When you’re writing a play, or a screenplay, you have the ability to dip into other characters’ perspectives, and you’re constantly flipping those perspectives, which keeps a story alive in a certain way,” Raicek said of why she chose to write The Plunge as a novel.
