Following on from its debut season last year, it has been confirmed that The Game will return on 5 for a second season later this year – and it has started filming now. The new season will sees stars Jason Watkins (McDonald & Dodds) and Robson Green (Grantchester) both return, while Sunetra Sarker (Casualty), Indy Lewis (Industry) and Amber James (Heartstopper) will all also be back. The synopsis for season 2 says: “Set a year after series one, we see former detective Huw (Watkins), who, after surviving a brutal stabbing, believes he has finally escaped the psychological grip of serial killer Patrick (Green), now safely behind bars. “Retreating with his wife Alice (Sarker) to an isolated house by the sea, Huw is determined to rebuild a quiet life, far from the violence that nearly destroyed them.
