Even by the standards of shocking Michael Jackson jokes, it was a shocking joke. “Michael Jackson did nothing wrong,” Michael Che, a co-anchor of Saturday Night Live’s “Weekend Update,” said during last night’s episode. “He was right to molest all those kids.” This was delivered with palpable surprise at the words coming out of his mouth, but Che kept going: “They were lucky. I would have paid him to do it. And I did! That’s right, when I was 10 years old, Michael Jackson molested me, and the only thing it gave me was a fetish for middle-aged white women.” He then smiled and said, almost as an aside, “That is not why I have that.” Che, of course, wasn’t saying what he actually thinks about the late pop star or his own personal sexual preferences. He was participating in a tradition where he and co-anchor Colin Jost each write “Weekend Update” material that the other man has to deliver cold, without seeing the joke ahead of time. Why go now In the south-west of Munich, Schlachthofviertel is an area in flux; a jarring district that is home to a theatre, a techno club and a controversial active slaughterhouse. In the 1870s, after the final cholera epidemic in Munich, a municipal slaughterhouse (Schlachthof) was built on what was then the outskirts of the city as part of a wider effort to improve hygiene standards. Although it is still in use today, the site has dramatically decreased in capacity, and creative entrepreneurs have been quick to see the potential of unused spaces. In 2021, the Münchner Volkstheater (People’s Theatre) moved to the area, bringing a new cultural status and sparking fears of accelerated gentrification. For me, it’s a part of town I go to for a change of scene or just a loaf of double-baked rye bread. In summer, the open-air spaces come out of hibernation and show a much edgier side to Munich. The LIVE host admitted that there was once a time where she “toyed” with the idea of getting a nose ring. During the April 15 episode of the show, Kelly and her husband, Mark Consuelos discussed the topic of piercings.  “There was a moment in my life 15 years ago, maybe 20, when I talked about it,” she shared. The reviews are in for Saturday Night Live UK, hosted by Tina Fey with musical guest Wet Leg in its debut this weekend. The sketches on the first-ever international spinoff of Lorne Michaels’ hit NBC show — impressively executed by a relatively unknown cast and watched on Sky by over 220,000 people — were wide-ranging and made use of the U.K.’s over-performing rolodex of British talent. The cold open began with U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer (played as a dawdling, anxious mess by George Fouracres) enlisting the help of a Gen Z consultant (Jack Shep) to work up the courage to send a voice note to U.S. President Donald Trump and declining to go to war with him. “I’ll do anything,” says Fouracres as Starmer. “Except take a stand.” Hammed Animashaun was on standby as a sycophantic deputy PM, David Lammy. The press has often labeled Mon Laferte a “femme fatale” — a seductive woman who inflicts distress upon her love interests. Nearly two decades into her singing career, the Chilean singer-songwriter has learned to embrace the old-fashioned trope of the stone cold seductress in “Femme Fatale,” her ninth studio album, which she released in October. “I came to the conclusion that there’s a perception of me as a woman who is really liberated — that’s why it’s dangerous.
