When Jacob Elordi isn’t dressing like a designer-clad movie star, the 28-year-old actor mostly sticks to a uniform of weathered cool-guy staples. Elordi’s off-duty style skews charmingly beach bum-adjacent, fittingly enough for a guy who splits his time between Brisbane and Los Angeles. Case in point: During a recent jaunt around LA in between press obligations for his role as Nate Jacobs in Euphoria, Elordi dressed less like an Oscar nominee and more like an average Joe with a strong case of the shoppies. Elordi, of course, is a prominent Bottega Veneta ambassador, and he commits to the job with typical gusto, on and off the screen. After the sexual content in Euphoria’s third season ruffled feathers for the first two weeks of the season, the latest instalment took the show in a very different, but just as extreme, direction. Earlier in the season, viewers have seen Sydney Sweeney’s character Cassie turning to OnlyFans modelling to help pay for her lavish wedding to Jacob Elordi’s Nate. In the most recent episode, Cassie and Nate’s big day finally arrived, but things took a dramatic turn when corrupt businessman Naz crashes the do to demand the hefty sum of money he’s owed by Jacob’s character. Streaming audiences can get ready to swoon over the the Margot Robbie-led feature adaptation of Wuthering Heights. HBO Max announced Friday that filmmaker Emerald Fennell‘s romantic drama hits the streaming service on May 1. Jacob Elordi co-stars in the movie that makes its linear debut via HBO on May 2, the same day that a version with American Sign Language will also stream exclusively on HBO Max. Based on author Emily Brontë’s classic novel of the same name, Warner Bros. released the film theatrically on Feb. 13, and it surpassed $240 million at the global box office. Hong Chau, Shazad Latif, Alison Oliver, Martin Clunes and Ewan Mitchell round out the cast. Fennell helmed the movie from her own script that is based on Brontë’s book. Fennell, Robbie and Josey McNamara produced the project that hails from LuckyChap and MRC. Robbie plays Catherine Earnshaw, while Elordi portrays Heathcliff. Jacob Elordi is keeping booked and busy, with his latest project on display during Disney’s CinemaCon presentation on Thursday. The thriller tells the story of Hig (played by Elordi), a young pilot who, together with a military survivalist, Bangley (Josh Brolin), has carved out an efficient but isolated homestead in a brutal post-apocalyptic world. But that changes when a mysterious radio transmission spurs Hig to venture into the unknown in search of the hope and humanity he still believes exists.  Ridley Scott is in the director’s chair, with a theatrical release date set for Aug. 28. Based on Peter Heller’s bestseller, the film also stars Margaret Qualley, Guy Pearce, Benedict Wong and Allison Janney. The film is written by Mark L. Euphoria’s highly anticipated third season lands on HBO on April 12, four years and countless discourse cycles after its previous chapter aired in 2022. The show’s action- and sex-packed promotional trailers suggest that, in the time since we last checked in with the wayward students of East Highland High, they’ve graduated and gone on to become, presumably, drug traffickers, sex workers, and construction scions. But at the Los Angeles premiere of its third (and rumored final) season last night, it felt like we were witnessing a parallel graduation for the actors who first appeared on the show as Hollywood ingénues way back in 2019. Though the screening was scheduled to start at 7 p.m., none of the stars of the show even arrived until after that time.
