One unique feature is a free “moving artwork” functionality. Imagine a static painting where a portion of the art, such as a river or mist over a mountain, is moving slightly. It’s calming and beautiful. At least dozens are available, but I’m not able to add my own. The TCL NXTVISION also features paintings in a slowly moving video format, but the video art on the Ember Artline looks more realistic. In particular, I was blown away by some of the subtle clips, including one scene that shows the sun passing over a mountain range in extreme hi-def. Another unique feature is Match the Room. It uses a photo where the TV is situated, then generates AI images that fit within the space’s color scheme. Having my TV display art that fits the aesthetic of my family room’s brown walls and dark blue couch made me feel like an interior designer. A lot of these travel mugs tend to take the form of a sippy cup. But when sitting at home, my ideal pick is the Fellow Carter, which sips like a normal drinking vessel and is stainless steel—not plastic. It’s ceramic-lined on its interior to avoid coffee-oil buildup or any hint of metallic tang. If you like sippy cups, Fellow also offers a nice 3-in-1 lid system ($57) with straw and slider lids. What I tend to do is drop a four-cup batch of coffee into the Carter, and screw the lid off and on when I take a sip. Sixteen ounces of coffee can stay warm for hours without introducing a lot of oxidation or heat. The coffee in a thermal-insulated drinking container tends to taste better, longer, than any coffee that’s been subjected to the heat and air of a coffee warmer. At CES 2026, Amazon has revealed that its branded TVs will now be called “Ember.” And its first model, the Ember Artline TV, will take on Samsung’s Frame TV. The Ember Artline is a 4K QLED TV which features support for Dolby Vision and HDR10 Plus, plus it sports a matte screen designed to reduce glare in most lighting conditions.  It will be available in 55-inch and 65-inch sizes. The television is 1.5 inches thick and allows you to add one of 10 magnetic frames. The frame isn’t seamless, though, due to the bottom section housing the company’s far-field Alexa microphones and ambient Omnisense sensor. Omnisense is designed to detect when people are in the room and display artwork automatically.
