In a state lawsuit filed Sunday, Leslie Kuhn, who began working for Stern in 2022 as his office manager at SiriusXM, says she was made the shock jock’s executive assistant the following year, and relocated to Southampton, New York, in 2024 – at the pair’s request – to provide “assistance with such things as managing the staff of the mansion, setting staffing schedules, completing staff payroll and managing general household operations, including Beth Stern’s extensive at-home feline rescue and fostering operations.” Beth Stern is a longtime animal activist who rescues and fosters abandoned dogs and cats, and is the national spokesperson and …

Famed Gelman Collection Will Return to Mexico by 2028

The Fundación Banco Santander in Spain has announced that it will return the Gelman Collection, which includes several important works of 20th-century Mexican art, to Mexico by 2028, according to a report by dpa. The planned return comes after an open letter signed by more than 200 art professionals last month that accused the Mexican government of an “institutional blunder” by allowing part of the Gelman Collection to travel to Spain, where they were meant to be house permanently in a private museum in Santander, in the north of Spain. Related Articles In January, the foundation for the Madrid-based bank announced that it would manage 160 of the approximately 300 works that had been amassed by Jacques and Natasha Gelman, who had amassed their fortune in Mexico’s film industry, between 1941 and 1998, the year of Natasha’s death. (Jacques died in 1986.) Among the works that Fundación Banco Santander said it would now steward “from January 2026 onwards.” In the newly renamed Gelman Santander Collection are major pieces by some of Mexico’s most important artists, …

Local Resort Buys Rauschenberg’s Famed Captiva Island Property

South Seas, a resort located on Captiva Island, off the coast of Florida, is the buyer of Robert Rauschenberg’s famed 22-acre property on the island, which had been home to one of the country’s top artist residency programs following his death. The Robert Rauschenberg Foundation, the steward of the namesake artist’s legacy, had announced last year that it would sell the property, which also includes about 1,000 feet of beachfront property and Rauschenberg’s 8,000-square-foot studio which he built in 1992. Related Articles The foundation said the cost to maintain the property had grown beyond what it could manage while still maintaining the other parts of its mission, citing a sustainability assessment that “confirmed that safeguarding the property would require substantial additional investment and site modifications, without ensuring the property’s long-term resilience or reducing the likelihood of future costs.” That statement added that “Robert Rauschenberg believed that change was essential to creativity.” South Seas announced the acquisition via a news release on March 31, with its president Greg Spencer saying that the property going for sale …

Pat Steir, Famed for Her Abstract ‘Waterfall’ Paintings, Dies at 87

Pat Steir, who made a name for herself via wall-size abstractions that she achieved by pouring paint from a ladder, died on Wednesday in Manhattan of natural causes. She was 87. Her death was confirmed by her husband Joost Elffers, her niece Lily Sukoneck-Cohen, and Marc Payot, president of Hauser & Wirth, which had represented Steir since 2022. “Working so closely with Pat Steir—spending so much time with her, immersed in her work together and enjoying such a close friendship—counts among the great privileges of my career,” Payot said in a statement. “She emerged out of minimalism and conceptualism, but Pat created a visual language wholly her own—a new kind of abstraction that encompasses poetry and philosophy, in a practice that also involved writing, performance, and mentoring.” Nearly three decades into her career, in the late 1980s, Steir devised a process that would bring her widespread fame. From a ladder, and later from a cherry picker, she poured oil paint in varying levels of viscosity down upright canvases, allowing gravity to be her collaborator. “It’s chance within limitations. I decide …

Frederik and Mary of Denmark Evoke Famed Photo of Charles and Diana

In the case of the Danish kings, however, this visit has an even deeper meaning, and not just because Mary of Denmark is of Australian origin. This six-day trip is their first outside Europe as king and queen, and is a return full of nostalgia: it was in Australia, during the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, that a young Prince Frederik met the lawyer Mary Donaldson in a pub. That chance encounter changed the destiny of the oldest royal house in Europe, and now has come full circle: what began 26 years ago in the country as a romance over drinks returns with the pomp and significance of a state trip. Famed Plastic Surgeon Weighs in on Jim Carrey’s Face

Sign up to see the future, today Can’t-miss innovations from the bleeding edge of science and tech Is it a shock that an aging actor may or may not have gotten work done on their face? Apparently yes, based on how rumors and conspiracy theories swirled around Jim Carrey’s recent appearance at the César Awards in Paris, where he graced viewers with a noticeably plump and smooth visage. Explanations for Carrey’s face ranged from the outrageous to the even more outrageous. Drag queen and makeup artist Alexis Stone made a post on Instagram implying he impersonated Carrey at the awards ceremony and uploaded a picture of a prosthetic mask (which some speculated to be AI-generated). What should’ve been an obvious joke seemed to activate something conspiratorial in the brains of other celebrities like Katy Perry and Megan Fox, with Perry commenting a bullseye emoji, and Fox commenting that “I can’t handle any more stress right now I need to know if this is real.” If Stone actually did pull off such a stunt, he had …

Paris agricultural fair opens without famed cows as French farmers face multiple crises

Students are preparing a video to replace the Agricultural Education Trophy competition, which was supposed to be held at the Paris International Agricultural Show. At an agricultural high school in the Norman town of Yvetot, on February 12, 2026. FLORENCE BROCHOIRE FOR LE MONDE This year, there will be no prize cow, no Charolais bulls, Tarentaise heifers, nor even a single calf. The complete absence of cattle in the popular Hall 1 of the Paris International Agricultural Show, on the opening day, Saturday, February 21, will leavea strong impression. Even though President Emmanuel Macron expressed concern over the unprecedented situation and explicitly requested that the animals be present at the show, livestock farmers have stood firm. They refused to risk their animals’ health for the sake of parading them in the capital. Politicians will, therefore, miss out on the traditional photo opportunities granted by the show: arriving at milking time, posing with cattle, strolling the aisles, surrounded by magnificent prize-winning animals. The lack of cattle sends a powerful signal about the fear and shock generated by …

And there’s almost no chance you’re going to please him — which, somehow, is exactly why you’re here. “The games begin,” Jacucci, a matter-of-fact Franco-Italian, tells his students, then taps a drum between his legs. The stage lights go bright. The music starts. A group of red-nosed clowns in various costumes begins a ritual that has been the heartbeat of this place for more than 40 years.
