King Charles hellbent on banning world’s most popular fast food – but failed
The King has cemented himself as a foodie with his own collection of jams and marmalades and a well-known love of fresh produce. But as an organic foods enthusiast, there’s one fast food he isn’t on board with and even once tried to ban despite being a fan-favourite worldwide. Back in 2007, the then Prince of Wales was visiting a diabetes treatment centre in Abu Dhabi with his wife Camilla when he posed a controversial question to nutritionist Nadine Tayara: “Have you got anywhere with McDonald’s?” he said. “Have you tried getting it banned?
