Mel B has recalled a “horrifying” moment during her first pregnancy when she was asked to weigh herself live on television. Saying such an incident “would never be allowed in this day and age”, Spice Girls singer Mel, 50, spoke to Page Six at an event for Revive Collagen, where she discussed the experience while pregnant with her eldest daughter Phoenix, now 27. At the time, she was 23 and appearing in a live interview during her early years with the Spice Girls – which also includes Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton and Melanie Chisholm – and rose to global prominence in the late 1990s.
