Google-Linked AI Site Hosting Epstein Island Roleplays, Ghislaine Maxwell Bots

Google-Linked AI Site Hosting Epstein Island Roleplays, Ghislaine Maxwell Bots

Sign up to see the future, today Can’t-miss innovations from the bleeding edge of science and tech Even as scrutiny of the Epstein files reaches a fever pitch, the controversial AI platform Character.AI is hosting chatbots based on the prolific sex criminal, as well as his accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell and “Epstein Island” roleplays. The accounts aren’t hidden. Simple keyword searches for “Epstein” and “Ghislaine Maxwell” revealed more than a dozen different bots dedicated to the late sex trafficker, his accomplice, and the island Epstein owned where many of his crimes against girls and women occurred. And this isn’t the first time journalists have flagged the problem: the Bureau of Investigative Journalism first reported on the existence of Epstein bots on the site back in October 2025. The content exists in the form of the site’s “characters” — the companion-like AI bots the site is known for — as well as its newer “scenes” feature. Announced in October 2025, scenes are described as “short, character-driven roleplay moments that turn simple chats into immersive story-driven worlds.” In other …

Russia Warns ‘Vulnerable’ Finland As It Moves To Lift Ban On Hosting NATO Nukes

Russia Warns ‘Vulnerable’ Finland As It Moves To Lift Ban On Hosting NATO Nukes

The last thing the world needs at this moment of raging war in Iran and the Persian Gulf region is another round of nuclear saber-rattling related to that other raging hotspot – the Ukraine conflict, but that’s precisely what is happening again this week. The Kremlin is warning that Russia could respond if Finland moves forward with plans to scrap its longstanding ban on the transit and storage of nuclear weapons, framing the proposal as a direct security threat on its border. The alleged nuclear discussions come after reports that NATO could look for alternatives to Washington providing Europe with NATO’s ‘nuclear shield’ – as has always been the case since the Cold War. Finland is a new NATO member, having only just formally joined the alliance, abandoning historic neutrality, in April of 2023. On Thursday, the Finnish government confirmed it will seek amendments to the country’s Nuclear Energy Act and Criminal Code, removing legal barriers that currently prevent the import or hosting of nuclear weapons for defense purposes. Jake Shane Plans to Let Loose After Hosting Vanity Fair’s Oscar Party Livestream

Jake Shane Plans to Let Loose After Hosting Vanity Fair’s Oscar Party Livestream

Jake Shane doesn’t know what he’s wearing on Oscar Sunday. “That is a daily conversation,” he tells me. It’s an important consideration: The podcaster and comedian will be cohosting the Vanity Fair Oscar Party livestream that night with fellow viral sensations Quenlin Blackwell and Brittany Broski. Today he’s wearing a Gracie Abrams sweatshirt as we chat over Zoom about the upcoming gig. Although he frequently talks to stars like Hilary Duff, Glen Powell, and Kerry Washington on his podcast, Therapuss, Shane knows that this will be a different beast. “I don’t think I’ve ever done something live like this,” he says—then checks with his publicist to make sure that’s true. (It is.) “So I’m very anxious, but I’m very excited about it.” Luckily, he’s been flexing his live-comedy chops. Shane made his Broadway debut last month in All Out: Comedy About Ambition, joining the show alongside Jenny Slate, Ray Romano, and Nicholas Braun. “It’s amazing. I’m having a great time,” he says. “I feel like I’m learning a lot. The director, Alex Timbers, is amazing. …

Finland to Lift Full Ban on Hosting Nuclear Arms, Government Says

Finland to Lift Full Ban on Hosting Nuclear Arms, Government Says

HELSINKI, March 5 (Reuters) – Finland plans to lift a long-standing ban on having nuclear arms on its territory, the government said on Thursday, aligning with Nordic neighbours in a move that could open the door to deploying atomic bombs ‌on Finnish soil during times ‌of war. Finland’s Nuclear Energy Act, passed in 1987, prohibits the import, manufacture, possession and detonation of nuclear explosives on its soil, seen by some Finns as a clause that would benefit only Russia if there ever was a war. While Finland maintained neutrality during the Cold War era, the country in 2023 joined the NATO military alliance in response to nuclear-armed Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine the preceding year. “The amendment is necessary to enable Finland’s military defense as part of the alliance and to take full advantage of NATO’s deterrence and collective defence,” Finnish Defence Minister Antti Hakkanen told a press conference. The proposed change will next go to parliament where the right-wing coalition government holds a majority. Neighbours Sweden, Denmark and Norway have long-standing policies against nuclear …

Denmark in Talks With Ukrainian Drone Maker Skyfall on Hosting Production

Denmark in Talks With Ukrainian Drone Maker Skyfall on Hosting Production

STOCKHOLM, Feb 24 (Reuters) – Ukrainian drone maker Skyfall is in talks with Denmark about becoming the second defence firm ‌from the war-torn country ‌to establish production on Danish soil, the Nordic country’s defence ministry said on Tuesday. Skyfall develops unmanned aerial systems (UAS) including attack drones and drone interceptors, the firm said on its website. “Skyfall is a company with an impressive product portfolio that can provide strategically important production and supply on Danish soil – both for Ukraine and Denmark,” the defence ministry said in a statement. Copenhagen last year announced that Ukraine’s Fire Point will begin production of fuel for long-range missiles in Denmark, marking the first expansion abroad by a Ukrainian defence company. Russia’s foreign ministry in December said the production of fuel for Ukrainian missiles in Denmark posed a risk of escalation. Ukraine in December signed an agreement with the Netherlands for joint drone production. (Reporting by Anna Ringstrom, editing by Terje Solsvik) Copyright 2026 Thomson Reuters.
