Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster Make Their Met Gala Debut

The Met Gala just got a big burst of Broadway. New-ish couple Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster have officially made their Met Gala 2026 debut, walking the red carpet arm in arm, six months after revealing their relationship to the world. ANGELA WEISS/Getty Images A Met Gala regular, Jackman is sporting a classic Black Giorgio Armani tuxedo. Tonight marks Foster’s first time at the Met Gala: the two-time Tony winner wore a shimmering, metallic, one-shoulder golden gown with a high slit, showing off the gams that have made her one of Broadway’s most beloved triple threats. This is not Jackman and Foster’s first event as a couple, but their relationship was not public until fairly recently. Old friends Jackman and Foster reconnected while starring opposite each other in the 2023 Broadway revival of The Music Man. While walking the red carpet for the show’s premiere, Foster exclusively told Vanity Fair that the beloved Broadway musical was about “community.” “But I feel like we’ve created our own little community and our own little family and we …

Hugh Jackman’s Denim Shirt Works Whether You’re 27 or 57

Hugh Jackman’s $40 Denim Shirt Works Whether You’re 27 or 57

On Saturday, Hugh Jackman was spotted in New York City, riding a Citibike over to the Minneta Lane Theater, where he’s currently starring in a play called Sexual Misconduct of the Middle Classes. Along his commute, the Wonder from Down Under stopped for a few selfies and autographs and handshakes. No big production around it—just him, out and about. His look matched that energy: A denim shirt, sleeves rolled up, nice and chill. The shirt itself was a standard-issue Western number from Wrangler. Not brand new, not seriously rare, not trying to be anything other than what it is. Wrangler’s been making this stuff for decade: OG American workwear, built for function first and then picked up by fashion guys after. It’s the kind of brand that doesn’t need a reset every season because, well, it never really left. BG048/Bauer-Griffin That’s also why it works on pretty much anyone. There’s nothing age-specific about a solid denim shirt. It’s not chasing a single moment or tied to a trend cycle, so it doesn’t suddenly feel off …

Hugh Jackman to Deliver Commencement Address at Ball State University

Hugh Jackman is heading back to Indiana. The veteran performer is set to deliver a commencement speech at Ball State University’s spring graduation ceremony, scheduled to take place in the Quad on May 2. The university-wide gathering will host approximately 2,800 doctoral, specialist, master’s and baccalaureate degrees students. Beyond the speech, the university will return the favor by presenting Jackman with an honorary arts degree. The showing will bring Jackman back to the Ball State campus after first visiting last September when he joined his partner Sutton Foster for a visit. Foster serves as an instructor in the university’s theatre department, and Jackman joined her during one of her teaching visits. The pair co-starred on Broadway in The Music Man before going public with their relationship last year. Jackman returned to Ball State, located in Muncie, Indiana, in November to host a screening of his film Song Sung Blue ahead of its Christmas release. The film, written and directed by Craig Brewer, who adapted from a 2008 documentary by Greg Kohs, casts Jackman and (Oscar …

Hugh Jackman’s forgotten 00s epic The Fountain hailed as ‘simply breathtaking’ after finding new home

Hugh Jackman has starred in dozens of blockbusters hits, from the X-Men franchise to The Greatest Showman, but the actor also has plenty of other forgotten films. One of these is 2006’s The Fountain, in which the Australian actor starred as three characters in the film, which spanned from the 16th century to the space age. Three separate narratives threads are told in the film, which features Hugh’s characters attempting to find the secret to eternal life. The synopsis for the film reads: “A man travels through time on a quest for immortality and to save the woman he loves. As a 16th-century conquistador, Tomas searches for the legendary Fountain of Youth. As a present-day scientist, he desperately struggles to cure the cancer that is killing his wife. Finally, as a 26th-century astronaut in deep space, Tom begins to grasp the mysteries of life, love and death.” Despite the film only being known to some of Hugh’s biggest fans, it has recently arrived on Amazon Prime, making it the perfect weekend watch. The actor has …

Every X-Men Movie, Definitively Ranked

Every X-Men Movie, Definitively Ranked

Before the MCU ended an era of cinema as we know it, another extended family of Marvel superheroes dominated the multiplex: Fox’s X-Men franchise. Launched in 2000 with one of the pre-MCU era’s few actually good superhero movies, X-Men spawned 11 sequels, spin-offs, prequels and other such universe-extenders over the subsequent two decades. (Plus Deadpool & Wolverine, which we’ve listed below, even if it technically exists within the Marvel Cinematic Universe—it’s basically an X-Men film, and primarily functions as a love letter to 21st Century Fox’s legacy of comic-book movies.) Based on the comics created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, the X-Men movies kicked off with Bryan Singer’s trilogy of films, centered on the OG occupants of the X-Mansion: Patrick Stewart’s Professor X, James Marsden’s Cyclops, Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine, Ian McKellen’s Magneto, etc. Prequels set in the ‘60s and ’70s followed, bringing the likes of James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender and Jennifer Lawrence into the ensemble; meanwhile, Jackman—the unequivocal fan favorite of the X-Men universe—spun off into a string of Wolverine movies. A trilogy of …
