Bill Gates to be interviewed by House Oversight on June 10

Microsoft cofounder Bill Gates attends a private dinner for technology and business leaders hosted by U.S. President Donald Trump in the State Dining Room at the White House in Washington, D.C., U.S., September 4, 2025. Brian Snyder | Reuters Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates will sit for an interview about Jeffrey Epstein by the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee on June 10, according to a person familiar with the situation, who spoke anonymously because the appearance has not been announced. Gates is one of several people who have agreed to be interviewed by the oversight panel about their dealings with Epstein, the notorious sex offender who killed himself in a New York jail in August 2019. In February, Gates apologized to staff at the Gates Foundation for his association with Epstein and admitted having affairs with two Russian women, which Epstein learned of, The Wall Street Journal previously reported. Gates at that same event said, “I did nothing illicit. I saw nothing illicit,” the newspaper reported. His interview will come a day after the committee’s …

meet the researchers who’ve interviewed 130 Bigfoot hunters

It was the image that launched a cultural icon. In 1967, in the northern Californian woods, a seven foot tall, ape-like creature covered in black fur and walking upright was captured on camera, at one point turning around to look straight down the lens. The image is endlessly copied in popular culture – it’s even become an emoji. But what was it? A hoax? A bear? Or a real-life example of a mysterious species called the Bigfoot? The film has been analysed and re-ananlysed countless times. Although most people believe it was some sort of hoax, there are some who argue that it’s never been definitively debunked. One group of people, dubbed Bigfooters, are so intrigued that they have taken to the forests of Washington, California, Oregon, Ohio, Florida and beyond to look for evidence of the mythical creature. But why? That’s what sociologists Jamie Lewis and Andrew Bartlett wanted to uncover. They were itching to understand what prompts this community to spend valuable time and resources looking for a beast that is highly unlikely …

I interviewed Brooklyn Beckham – and his down-to-earth responses about Nicola Peltz surprised me

Flashback to a grey autumn day in London, and I was on my way to interview Brooklyn Beckham at Superdry’s Oxford Street store. At the time – 2021 to be exact – a happily engaged Brooklyn had been appointed the brand’s first sustainability ambassador, and the notion of a ‘Beckham family feud’ was unthinkable. When I met Brooklyn, who was then 22, I was struck by how kind and courteous he was in our interview, listening intently to my questions, and treating our meeting as more of a friendly chat than a promotional opportunity.  © Dave Benett/Getty ImagesBrooklyn joined HELLO! for an exclusive chat in 2021 It had been over a year since he’d proposed to his fiancée, model and actress Nicola Peltz, and his face lit up every time we spoke of her. “I’m marrying my best friend so we kind of have our own little bubble together now, and it’s just really nice,” he said, beaming from ear to ear. There was no sign of foreshadowing in his innocently made comment. This was …

Bonnassies, coauthor of French bestseller, interviewed on Humanize

A downloadable audio file is available from Humanize of an interview with Olivier Bonnassies, author with Michel-Yves Bolloré of God: the Science, the Evidence (2025), which just became available this fall in English. In God: The Science, The Evidence, Bonnassies and Michel-Yves Bollore argue that science is in the midst of a “great reversal” in which the supposedly incompatible realms are becoming mutually reinforcing. Bonnassies is a science writer, an entrepreneur, and a graduate of Polytechnique and the Institute of Catholique de Paris. An unbeliever until the age of twenty, he is the author of books, videos, scripts, articles, newsletters, and websites on subjects related to faith and reason. “Olivier Bonnassies and Brian Miller on the Scientific Evidence for God,” November 10, 2025 The host is Wesley J. Smith and they are joined by Brian Miller, Research Coordinator for Discovery Institute’s Center for Science and Culture. Moving away The science world seems to be moving away from James D. Watson (1928–2025) and “Every time you understand something, religion becomes less likely.” Many gifted scientists are …
