David Beckham showed off his plethora of body art during a recent trip to Miami, days after his son Cruz revealed Victoria Beckham had removed all of her tattoos, including her tributes to her husband.  The 50-year-old posed up a storm in his latest Instagram post and ditched his shirt for a selfie in the glistening sun, after celebrating the opening of his football team, Inter Miami’s Nu stadium.  Standing up in a swimming pool, the former footballer leaned against the edge and snapped a quick picture as the sun beamed down over his shoulder, highlighting his array of tattoos which cover his chest, arms and neck.  The father-of-four flexed his abs against the tropical backdrop of palm trees and added a caption that read: “Good afternoon,” with a sun emoji as he smiled in a baseball cap.  Fans were quick to express their admiration for the star in the comments, and among them was David’s wife Victoria, 51, who playfully said: “Someone has been in the gym!!!,” with fire and red heart emojis.  “Ageing like …

Women and the middle classes are dominating take-up of weight loss jabs, research suggests. Almost 80% of private prescriptions are for female patients, according to a survey by The Health Foundation, while the highest uptake by age group across both genders are those aged 30 to 49. It also showed people in the most deprived areas were around a third less likely to be getting the jabs than those in the least deprived, despite the former having far higher obesity levels. People in poorer areas also tend to start treatment when they are heavier – another sign of inequality. The data covered 113,630 people who accessed the drugs privately between November 2024 and October 2025. Read more: What are the available weight loss jabs? It comes as the NHS works on a phased rollout of Mounjaro, which will take 12 years. Some 220,000 patients have been prioritised for the first three years. South Africa has begun the first human trials of a locally developed HIV vaccine to defeat a virus that still kills around one person per minute worldwide. Twenty HIV-negative volunteers have signed on for the new African-led trial in Cape Town. Researchers will be looking for signs that the new vaccine candidate stimulates the body’s own defences to defeat the notoriously elusive, shape-shifting virus. Teams hope the vaccine will activate ‘broadly neutralising antibodies’, which are potent germ-fighting proteins produced by the immune system. The antibodies are capable of identifying and vanquishing a broad range of variants of HIV. The research is being driven by the South African Medical Research Council, Wits University scientists and the Desmond Tutu HIV Foundation, under the Africa-wide Brilliant consortium. The consortium has scientists in South Africa, Nigeria, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Mozambique, and aims to find an African solution to the HIV/Aids pandemic. Source link

The supermarket giant, the UK’s second-largest, stated its “small but mighty” range is “perfectly portioned to support customers with reduced appetites” while fulfilling their protein and fibre needs. Each meal contains fewer than 350 calories, provides a source of fibre, boasts at least 20g of protein, and contributes to one of the recommended “five-a-day” portions of fruit and vegetables. Sainsbury’s noted a significant increase in online searches, with “high protein” queries up 57 per cent year-on-year and “high protein ready meals” soaring by 300 per cent, prompting the launch of 19 new products.
