The rest of the world might have already forgotten about Timothée Chalamet’s comments on the ballet and opera, but not Charlize Theron. The Fury Road headliner is furious with the actor, whose Oscar dreams were famously dashed last month. “Oh, boy, I hope I run into him one day,” the combat-trained star tells the New York Times, in an interview published on April 18. At a Variety/CNN town hall event in February, Chalamet told Matthew McConaughey that he doubted the ongoing viability of some types of performance. “I don’t want to be working in ballet or opera where it’s like, ‘Hey! The Bear is set to end after its upcoming fifth season, cast member Jamie Lee Curtis has claimed. Late last month, the Oscar nominee appeared to let the cat out of the bag with a revealing Instagram post. While Jamie Lee Curtis is now famously known as the Scream Queen, she recently revealed that her mom actually stopped her from making her horror film debut as a child. During a recent appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, the Oscar winner recalled a producer wanting her to audition for 1973’s The Exorcist.
