Dylan Dreyer was absent from Today‘s third hour on Tuesday, March 31, with her co-star, Craig Melvin, also missing from the news desk. Third-hour veteran Al Roker held down the fort alongside Laura Jarrett and Savannah Sellers, and took a moment to reassure viewers about his colleagues’ absence. “Craig is on assignment, Dylan is off, so we got Laura Jarrett and Savannah Sellers here,” Al began, before breaking into laughter. “Why are you laughing?” Laura chimed in with a smile on her face, as Al replied: “Everybody’s gone!”  “We’re keeping you company, we’re keeping you cozy,” she added, as he quipped: “I know! Jenna Bush Hager was joined by a familiar face on Monday’s episode of Today with Jenna and Sheinelle, after revealing that her co-host, Sheinelle Jones, was enjoying some time away from the desk for Spring Break. Today show stars are continuing to rally around their colleague, Savannah Guthrie, as authorities investigating the disappearance of her 84-year-old mother, Nancy Guthrie, grow more desperate. On Tuesday, footage taken from Nancy’s Tucson home was released, showing an individual in a mask and gloves appearing to tamper with her doorbell on the morning of her disappearance. “We believe she is still alive. Savannah Guthrie’s Today co-stars shared their support for the journalist following the disappearance of her 84-year-old mother, Nancy Guthrie, over the weekend. The matriarch was first reported missing on February 1 and was last seen the day before, around 9:45 p.m., by her children.  Authorities believe that Nancy was taken against her will from her home in the Catalina Foothills of Tucson, Arizona, sometime between 10 p.m. on Saturday night and 6 a.m. on Sunday morning.  “Sheriff Nanos has stated that he believes that a crime has been committed. Sheinelle Jones made her debut as Jenna Bush Hager’s permanent co-host for TODAY’s 4th Hour on Monday, January 12. The big day came six years after she first joined TODAY’s 3rd Hour and one year after the morning show landscape changed significantly. In early 2025, the 4th Hour with Hoda & Jenna became TODAY with Jenna & Friends following Hoda Kotb’s emotional departure from the long-running program. As Sheinelle, 47, focuses on her new gig, who will be taking over for her seat on the 3rd Hour? Well, instead of bringing someone else on immediately, Dylan Dreyer, Al Roker, and Craig Melvin will continue on as the main co-hosts of the 3rd Hour.
