XCharge NA + JOJO launch EV fast chargers in Illinois – first sites live

Photo: XCharge NA XCharge North America and JOJO Superfast are rolling out a new EV fast-charging network across Illinois, starting with nine locations and more to come. The buildout centers on fast charging at retail locations, with the majority of sites initially hosted at Menards home improvement stores. The idea is to put fast chargers where drivers already go. Each location will feature four 200kW C6 Smart DC fast chargers with two charging ports each. XCharge North America is supplying the hardware and handling the full process, from site planning to construction and deployment. Joanna “JoJo” Levesque will take over Lea Michele’s role in Chess on Broadway.  Levesque will play Florence Vassy starting June 23 through Sept. 13, opposite Aaron Tveit and Nicholas Christopher. This marks Levesque’s return to Broadway after she starred in Moulin Rouge as Satine for several months in 2023 and again in 2024.  Levesque rose to fame with the hits “Leave (Get Out)” and “Too Little Too Late” and became the youngest solo artist to top the Billboard Mainstream Top 40. She won a 2020 Grammy for “Say So” with PJ Morton and has sold more than 8 million albums worldwide across her career. In addition to her previous Broadway runs, Levesque originated the role of Tess in Working Girl at La Jolla Playhouse. The musical sees Vassy caught between American chess prodigy Freddie Trumper, played by Tveit, whom she coaches and once loved, and Russian grandmaster, Anatoly Sergievsky, played by Christopher, who begins to catch her eye. ‘Jojo Rabbit’ Star Davis Joins ‘Wonderland’ Animated Feature

Roman Griffin Davis, the breakout star of Jojo Rabbit, has joined the voice cast of Wonderland, a new animated feature from Polish studio Lightcraft, lending his voice to the film’s lead role opposite Mads Mikkelsen. Davis will voice Jake, a 12-year-old boy who, together with his friend Jenny, confront the mysterious Vagapulga creatures in their dreams. Polish studio Lightcraft is producing the 3D English-language animated feature, which was previously titled Dreamworld. “From the outset, Roman showed a strong understanding of Jake and the emotional logic of the story,” said co-director and producer Daniel Markowicz. “That made him a natural fit for the role.” Davis first drew international attention for his performance as Jojo Betzler in Taika Waititi’s Jojo Rabbit, which earned him a Critics’ Choice Movie Award for Best Young Actor and a Golden Globe nomination.
