Ready, set, buy! In tandem with today’s news that LA28 tickets are available for pre-sale for residents in select California and Oklahoma counties — with sales to the general public opening April 9 — On Location has made its hospitality packages available for purchase. LA28’s official hospitality provider is selling ticket-inclusive packages with a variety of offerings to pick from like premium seats, priority entry, lounge access, entertainment, athlete meet-and-greets, elevated food and beverage choices and more. Packages for most events like track and field, baseball, basketball, flag football, soccer finals (at the Rose Bowl), swimming, and opening and closing ceremonies are on sale today while sports like badminton, cricket, diving, equestrian, soccer (in other metropolitan areas) and rhythmic gymnastics will be available later in the year. On Location has three tiers of hospitality packages with leisure, premium and signature. LOS ANGELES, March 23 : Organizers of the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic and Paralympic Games unveiled the event’s official visual identity on Monday, a floral-themed design system meant to reflect the city’s landscape, neighbourhoods and cultural character. The branding will appear across competition venues, fan areas, citywide installations, signage, digital platforms and broadcast presentations during the Games, LA28 said. At the centre of the design is the “Superbloom,” a reference to the bursts of wildflowers that can blanket parts of Southern California after periods of rain. LA28 said the concept was intended as a metaphor for the Games, with years of preparation culminating in a short, high-profile global event. The core graphic is built around 13 individual blooms, which organizers said represent different elements of Los Angeles, from its entertainment culture to its neighbourhoods, people and native landscape. The colour palette draws on the Bird of Paradise, the official flower of Los Angeles, and is grouped into four families – Poppy, Scarlet Flax, Bluebell and Sagebrush – to evoke the region’s terrain and vegetation. A report on how Olympic organizers will tackle civil rights, homelessness and human trafficking ahead and during the 2028 Games has not been made public by the city more than two months after it was filed and no date for its release has been set, leaving human rights advocates fearing the issues will not get the attention and funding they deserve. Council president Marqueece Harris-Dawson, who chairs the ad-hoc committee on the LA28 Games, has not included the human rights report on the committee’s agenda. His office did not respond to requests for comment and Sharon Tso, the city’s chief legislative analyst, and Matthew Szabo, the city’s administrative officer, both said they have not seen the report and “nothing appears on the council file,” according to Tso. Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass said in an interview Monday that she does not want embattled mogul Casey Wasserman running the 2028 Summer Games. Bass told CNN’s Dana Bash that it was “unfortunate” that the organizers of the Los Angeles Olympics are supporting Wasserman amid revelations that he exchanged flirty emails two decades ago with later-convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell. Bass initially declined to take a position on the drama surrounding Wasserman, saying two weeks ago that it was up to the board of the LA28 Olympics — the nonprofit behind the Games — to decide whether to keep him. Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass is calling on Casey Wasserman to step down as chairperson of LA28 after some emails of his surfaced in the Department of Justice’s Jeffrey Epstein document release. During an interview on CNN Monday, the mayor said, “I cannot fire him, but I have an opinion. And my opinion is that he should step down. That’s not the opinion of the board.” Last week, Wasserman was publicly backed by the Los Angeles Olympics Committee board after they hired an outside law firm to review his interactions with Ghislaine Maxwell, the convicted sex trafficker connected to Epstein. Fanatics, the Michael Rubin-led sports juggernaut, is getting into the entertainment business in a major way. The company is partnering with OBB Media to launch a new joint venture, Fanatics Studios, with a flurry of major deals lined up to support the studio at launch, including with LA28, ESPN, WWE and MLB. The venture plans to produce live events, unscripted and scripted original series, feature films and digital content. “I’m allergic to thin, vanity shingle announcements. So much work needs to go on behind the scenes to make a project real,” says OBB Media founder and CEO Michael D.
