Both times were expensive repairs, but cheaper than buying a new one. I said the third time it happens we get a new fridge. I still regret getting rid of our old yellow fridge several years back. We had it for over 20 years. It came with the first house we bought when we got married. I suspect it is still faithfully working in the cabin of the people who bought it. They don’t make appliances like they used to. Some call it “planned obsolescence”. Meanwhile….
