The striking images reveal the distinctive property, which boasts an entirely turquoise colour scheme both internally and externally. The Reddit user uploaded several shots of the motel, commenting: “Pretty much nothing there but cool to see.” The photographs reveal rubbish scattered across the car park, whilst interior shots suggest the building remains in relatively decent condition. Despite bedding, cushions, and various debris littering one hallway, much of the property appears largely unchanged from its operational days. The genuinely impressive Super Bright light from Exposure is the headlamp I’d buy for my bicycle if I ever went on the long adventures I plan in my head. As it stands, I rarely cycle further than the supermarket, and this extra-bright version of the Strada MK12 (reviewed above) is overkill. At 1,700 lumens, it feels like the headlamp on a small motorcycle, properly lighting up paths that are otherwise pitch black. Like the RS we tested, the SB has several modes and a handy remote button that plugs into the charging port. The shape of the beam, which has been made to resemble that of a car headlight, provides excellent forward illumination while also making your position known to cars far away – useful if you plan to ride on rural B-roads, less so if you live in the suburbs. The cast has now been confirmed for the fourth season of BAFTA award winning BBC series Blue Lights, with Game of Thrones and Fortitude star Richard Dormer set to return. Blue Lights follows a local police department in the Northern Irish capital, where they tackle everything from petty thefts to organised crime, all while maintaining relationships with the local community. Richard Dormer plays Gerry Cliff, a police sergeant who was sadly murdered in the first season of the critically acclaimed Belfast police drama. Dormer’s character was shot and killed by a known local gangster while out on a routine patrol with officer Jen Robinson, played by Hannah McClean. A beloved character, his death and legacy continued to impact the following two seasons. Earlier this week, the Sun unleashed a powerful X-class solar flare, a major burst of electromagnetically charged particles that lit up the Earth’s night sky as they entered our planet’s atmosphere. The effect was stunning: a dazzling display of auroras reaching as far as southern California. Forecasters told CNN that it was one of the largest solar storms in decades, making for a particularly unique opportunity to watch the show unfold. Our art director spotted the cosmic light show in rural Maine, where he said they were “quite beautiful and vibrant.” But as one could imagine, the views are even more spectacular above the Earth’s atmosphere from the vantage point of the International Space Station, as demonstrated in a stunning video shared by Japanese astronaut Kimiya Yui on X earlier this month. The Northern Lights are putting on a show for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, delivering a beautiful display of light across several U.S. states. Here’s how to watch the aurora borealis this week. According to the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC), this week’s Northern Lights will be visible on Jan. 19 and linger through to the next day in some areas. Even so, you’re best off catching the aurora on Monday if you’re able, as it will be significantly less prominent later in the week. Those at higher latitudes will have a better chance of seeing the aurora, though the notable strength of this week’s display means the Northern Lights may be visible as low as Alabama and northern California. This wide range of visibility is because Monday’s Northern Lights have been caused by the largest solar radiation storm in over 20 years, resulting in a particularly strong aurora. More than two dozen Immigration and Customs Enforcement vehicles on the ground in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area “currently lack the necessary emergency lights and sirens” required to be “compliant with law enforcement requirements,” according to a contract justification published in a federal register on Tuesday. The document justifies ICE paying Whelen Engineering Company, a Connecticut-based firm specializing in “emergency warning and lighting technology,” $47,330.49 for 31 “ATLAS1” kits—seemingly a typo of ATLAS, the name of the product sold by Whelen—which the company’s website describes as an “Adaptable Travel Light and Siren Kit.” The document explains that the ATLAS Kits would “allow vehicles to be immediately operational and compliant with law enforcement requirements to support the current surge operation” out of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI)’s St. Paul office, which conducts operations in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota. “These vehicles were deployed prior to being permanently retrofitted and currently lack the necessary emergency lights and sirens required for operational use,” the document says. LuminBlend+ is a color management system that offers accurate, true-to-life colors across any setting thanks to proprietary Gamma calibration.
