Workers trying to log in to Microsoft Outlook experienced unexpected problems Monday morning, with some users receiving error messages and unexpected signouts. On its official Microsoft service status page, the company confirmed that some Microsoft 365 Business and Enterprise customers were experiencing a service interruption, directing them to X for more information. The Microsoft 365 Status page on X stated that some customers were unable to log in to the email software. This Tweet is currently unavailable. When my computer is slow, the Task Manager is one of the first places I look. It gives me an idea of what’s happening with the CPU and memory. The Event Viewer also provides some vital information for troubleshooting the lag. However, there have been times when none of these tools have helped me identify concrete, actionable steps, and I’m forced to install new tools for proper system investigation. I recently discovered a built-in tool that opens with a single command. It ties problems down to specific days, showing crash timelines, failed updates, and system issues, and has given me the clearest view of all the built-in Windows tools I’ve used. Meteorological spring may have just arrived in the UK, but temperatures are still a touch on the chilly side, so it’s not quite time to ditch the heating – or log burners – just yet. While daytime temperatures are gradually turning milder, spring evenings typically bring a significant drop in temperatures, typically reaching lows of around 3C on average. As such, evenings in March still call for a blast of warmth, which means households with log burners will still be lighting them up to fend off the cold weather and stay toasty. An investigation is under way after a Ryanair flight battling with high wind speeds during storm Amy last week landed at Manchester airport with just six minutes of fuel left in its tanks. The pilots had been taking passengers from Pisa in Italy to Prestwick in Scotland on Friday evening, but wind speeds of up to 100mph meant they were unable to land. After three failed attempts to touch down, the pilots of Ryanair flight FR3418 issued a mayday emergency call and raced to Manchester, where the weather was calmer. The Boeing 737-800 had just 220kg of fuel left in its tanks when it finally landed, according to a picture of what appears to be a handwritten technical log. Pilots who examined the picture said this would be enough for just five or six minutes of flying. Analysis of the log suggests the plane left Pisa with reserve fuel, as commercial flights are required to do.
