This weekend Gagosian is opening a new flagship at 980 Madison Avenue’s ground floor with shows by Marcel Duchamp and early works by Robert Rauschenberg. The new space, designed by Caplan Colaku Architects (CCA), moves the gallery from its former upper-floor perch in the same building to street level, consolidating three former storefronts into a continuous, two-level layout totaling more than 12,000 square feet. Floor-to-ceiling steel doors align with the facade, creating what feels like a gradual transition from the bustle of Madison Avenue into the gallery’s more quiet interior. The architecture was tightly calibrated with some dimensions adjusted only by inches and the materials kept deliberately restrained. Madison Air Solutions surged 18% in its IPO on Thursday after raising $2.23 billion, pulling off the largest U.S. industrial IPO in nearly three decades. Shares closed at $31.75, signaling strong investor appetite for an industrial name tied to the AI infrastructure buildout. The Chicago-based company designs and manufactures ventilation, filtration, and cooling systems for data centers, semiconductor manufacturing facilities, life sciences buildings, and commercial buildings. Most importantly, investors care about MAIR because it sells liquid, hybrid, and air-cooling equipment for data centers, tying it directly to the AI buildout boom.  Data centers account for roughly 20% of MAIR’s business. The company operates 30 brands and generated $3.34 billion in 2025 revenue, up from $2.62 billion a year earlier, though net income declined to $124 million from $236 million. As New York society matron Stacy Clyburn, Pfeiffer seamlessly shifts through all the colors of inconsolability, from sallow brooding in one moment to red-faced weeping in the next, moving into verdant laughter a scene or two later. One imagines series creator Taylor Sheridan lapping up all that emotion like the thirsty elk Stacy’s husband Preston (Kurt Russell) watches from the window of his riverside cabin. Cities are squalid crime hives that need to be tamed or abandoned in the Sheridanverse, whereas small towns and Western vistas are quaint canvases fertile with possibility.
