Members of Elon Musk’s private security team were deputized as federal agents last year even though some of the billionaire’s guards lacked the required training and law enforcement experience, according to newly released government emails. The emails shed new light on how the U.S. Marshals Service responded to Musk’s entourage during his five-month stint in the second Trump administration. The agency in February 2025 approved a request that it said came from the White House to deputize Musk’s bodyguards, a decision that allowed them to carry weapons in some federal buildings and continue protecting him. Musk, the world’s wealthiest person, was a senior adviser to President Donald Trump and oversaw the Department of Government Efficiency from January of last year until his rocky exit in May. The Marshals Service released the emails and related documents in response to a request under the Freedom of Information Act filed by Democracy Forward, a progressive advocacy group that has been investigating Musk’s tenure …

Mo Brings Plenty, an enrolled member of the Lakota Nations, was frustrated with the cultural misappropriation that he saw onscreen until Yellowstone came along. Thanks to a collaboration with prolific hit-maker Taylor Sheridan, not only did Plenty land a role in the mega-hit series as the right-hand man to Broken Rock Tribe chief Thomas Rainwater (Gil Birmingham), he was also hired behind the scenes as the show’s American Indian Affairs coordinator. [This story contains a major spoiler from The Madison‘s first three episodes.] If you were expecting a Dutton to walk into a scene of The Madison, you aren’t the only one. “We kept waiting for a script to drop where a Dutton would come,” Patrick J. Adams, who plays the man who married into The Madison‘s starring Clyburn family, tells The Hollywood Reporter about reading his first scripts of the Taylor Sheridan series. “That was certainly a question because that’s how it was in the world. And when we asked about it, it was like, ‘No, no, no. This is an independent thing. This is its own thing.’” The Madison was first announced back in 2023, when Paramount Network also confirmed that TV’s No. 1 series, Yellowstone, was plotting its endgame. The Madison then had a working title of 2024 and was described as the first-ever Yellowstone sequel. The series premiere of Marshals logged more than 20 million viewers in seven days after its March 1 debut, making it the biggest show on TV that week — regardless of platform. The Yellowstone spinoff — which earned a speedy season two renewal from CBS — brought in 20.6 million viewers over seven days in the United States, based on Nielsen’s multi-platform ratings for the week of Feb. 23-March 1. That’s more than double its initial on-air total of 9.52 million and 6 million more viewers than any other series that week. Streaming on Paramount+ likely accounted for the bulk of the 11.08 million viewers who watched Marshals after its first showing on CBS. Network shows dominated the top 20, with only two streaming shows — Netflix’s Bridgerton and HBO Max’s The Pitt — claiming spots. That’s partly due to the below list’s methodology: It only counts shows that released new episodes during that week. Luke Grimes‘ role on Yellowstone and now its new spin-off Marshals may have earned him many fans, but his son doesn’t seem to be one of them just yet.
