EEthan Hawke’s ‘difficult’ response to daughter’s wedding

Ethan Hawke has opened up about one of the most emotional moments of his life, walking his daughter Maya Hawke down the aisle, admitting it was “very difficult” not to be overwhelmed on her special day. The actor, 55, shared his heartfelt reaction while attending the Time 100 Gala, reflecting on Maya’s intimate New York City wedding to her longtime partner, Huston, which took place on February 14. The ceremony was a deeply personal affair, with both of Maya’s parents, Ethan and Uma Thurman, by her side as she said “I do.” “It would be very difficult not to,” Ethan told Page Six when asked if he became emotional. “Whenever you see your children so happy, it’s probably the most moving thing you could see.” © Getty Images for Tibet House USMaya and now husband, Christian Lee Hutson, perform onstage during the 37th Annual Tibet House US Benefit Concert And it’s a sentiment many parents will recognise. Ethan Hawke Channeled His “Outlaw Spirit” in Old-School Prada at Oscars 2026

Ethan Hawke Channeled His “Outlaw Spirit” in Old-School Prada at Oscars 2026

Back in 2002, when a then 31-year-old Hawke was nominated for best supporting actor for Training Day, “I don’t think I gave a second’s thought to what I was wearing,” Hawke laughs. “The first time is otherworldly. You feel like you’re in The Hunger Games, because you watch it as a kid and all of a sudden you’re stepping into it. I got to do it with Denzel [Washington], which made it incredibly fun, and he won [best actor], so we all felt like we were part of history.” Hawke has earned four more nominations since then, including best supporting actor for Boyhood (2014), best-adapted-screenplay nods for Before Sunset (2004) and Before Midnight (2013), and his first best-actor nod for Blue Moon at the 2026 Oscars. Four of those five nominations have their origin in Hawke’s more than 30-plus-year collaboration with filmmaker and friend Richard Linklater. Their partnership began in 1995 with the romantic drama Before Sunrise, starring Hawke and Julie Delpy as strangers who meet on a train and roam Vienna for the night. …

Maya Hawke sports newlywed glow in stunning white dress on date night with Christian Lee Hutson

Maya Hawke has been married for one month now, and she is still glowing like a newlywed. The Stranger Things actress, 27, looked beautiful at the world premiere of her romantic comedy, Wishful Thinking, during SXSW in Austin, Texas, on Thursday, and she was joined by her supportive husband, Christian Lee Hutson, 35. Maya doesn’t appear to want to let go of her wedding vibes just yet, and wore a simple, sleeveless white dress with a round neckline that fell below her knees in soft pleats. She added a black, oversized jacket, off-white pumps, and a small white handbag. Maya’s blonde hair was down in waves, and she kept her makeup minimal with rosy lips. The singer-songwriter walked the red carpet with her co-stars, but she was joined at the after-party by her musician husband, who rocked a denim shirt with a tan-colored corduroy jacket and dark pants.  © Getty ImagesMaya’s husband, Christian, joined his wife at the after-party At the event, Maya raved about how “absolutely fantastic” married life has been so far, telling …

Maya Hawke, Lewis Pullman Romantic Dramedy

It’s not that Charlie (Lewis Pullman) and Julia (Maya Hawke) are no longer in love with each other. It’s obvious from the first minutes of Wishful Thinking, Graham Parkes’ clever and funny directorial debut, that they very much are, trading compliments with the friskiness of two people who know each other well enough to feel completely at ease, yet still find each other thrilling enough to flirt with. It’s that for all the affection — warm, lively, sexy — coursing between them, they can’t seem to stop fighting. Case in point: Within moments of the exchange described above, the couple have talked themselves into an all-night cage match of an argument, packed with loaded phrases that make it clear they’ve been down this exact road many times before. Wishful Thinking The Bottom Line A literally world-changing kind of love. ‘Stranger Things’ Cast React to Their Final Scenes

‘Stranger Things’ Cast React to Their Final Scenes

[This story contains major spoilers from the series finale of Stranger Things.] The end of Stranger Things did not disappoint. The supersized series finale — which streamed on Netflix and released in 600 theaters across the country on New Year’s Eve — pushed the show created by Matt and Ross Duffer into the pantheon of Netflix series in terms of viewing totals. Netflix users spent 325.6 million hours watching season five last week, and the screenings pulled in an estimated $20-$25 million in theater chain revenue over that period. When speaking recently to The Hollywood Reporter, the Duffer Brothers, who wrote and directed the finale, “Chapter Eight: The Rightside Up,” said they consulted all of the actors about their endings so they could stick the landing. “They know their character inside and out,” said Ross Duffer. “So we wanted to make sure that they also felt good about where their characters are.” The ending that changed the most, they revealed, was the rooftop scene for the older teens on the series played by Natalia Dyer, …
