Brits Spied On Paul Thacker, Matt Taibbi According To ‘CONFIDENTIAL’ Memo

Authored by Paul D. Thacker via The DisInformation Chronicle, The British media has been consumed the last week over a scandal involving political operatives working for the British Labour Party who hired a PR firm to investigate seven reporters—one of whom is me. One close advisor to Prime Minister Starmer has resigned, and the British government has launched an investigation to uncover these attacks against the media. A British Labour Party official denied during a phone call that I was a focus of their attention when I called for an explanation a couple days ago. I’m releasing one of the documents leaked to me from a London reporter that shows I was one of the British Labour Party’s targets. The document is marked “STRICTLY PRIVATE AND CONFIDENTIAL.” I became a Labour Party “significant person of interest” after I began reporting on the Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH), in 2023. The CCDH was created by a British think tank called Labour Together, which was run by Josh Simons in 2023. Simons hired the PR firm …

The memo that shows McSweeney was warned about Mandelson

The memo that shows McSweeney was warned about Mandelson

Morgan McSweeney was sent a memo warning him about Lord Mandelson’s ties to Jeffrey Epstein on the eve of the peer’s appointment as the UK’s ambassador to the US. Lord Glasman, the Labour grandee, sent the dossier to Sir Keir Starmer’s chief of staff, saying that Downing Street was making a mistake. The memo, sent after Lord Glasman attended Donald Trump’s inauguration in 2025, warned: “Withdraw Peter Mandelson. He is the wrong man at the wrong time in the wrong place.” He also suggested that a “bold” alternative appointment could be Nigel Farage, who was popular with Mr Trump’s inner circle and his Maga base. In the memo, Lord Glasman told Mr McSweeney: “The vast majority of people I met… consider our appointment of Peter Mandelson an unnecessary provocation. “Several people showed me a photograph of him blowing out the birthday candles with Jeffrey Epstein.” Lord Mandelson and Epstein, pictured blowing out candles on a cake in 2007 He gave Mr McSweeney three “immediate action points”, one of which was to “withdraw Peter Mandelson”, and …

ICE memo directs officers in Minneapolis not to “engage with agitators”

An internal memo from Immigration and Customs Enforcement instructs officers in Minneapolis to avoid interacting with “agitators,” according to internal documents reviewed by Reuters. “DO NOT COMMUNICATE OR ENGAGE WITH AGITATORS,” the email from a top official read. “It serves no purpose other than inflaming the situation. No one is going to convince the other. The only communication should be the officers issuing commands.” The new directive also instructs officers to only target immigrants with a criminal history, including charges and convictions, which it calls a “criminal nexus.” “We are moving to targeted enforcement of aliens with a criminal history,” it read. “This includes arrests, not just convictions. ALL TARGETS MUST HAVE A CRIMINAL NEXUS.”  When asked for comment by Reuters, a spokesperson for the White House said the “guidance” should only be considered policy when it is “officially issued.” “There are ongoing conversations on how to most effectively conduct operations in Minnesota,” the spokesperson said. US Judge Rules ICE Raids Require Judicial Warrants, Contradicting Secret ICE Memo

US Judge Rules ICE Raids Require Judicial Warrants, Contradicting Secret ICE Memo

A federal judge in Minnesota ruled last Saturday that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents violated the Fourth Amendment after they forcibly entered a Minnesota man’s home without a judicial warrant. The conduct of the agents closely mirrors a previously undisclosed ICE directive that claims agents are permitted to enter people’s homes without a warrant signed by a judge. The ruling, issued by US District Court judge Jeffrey Bryan in response to a petition for a writ of habeas corpus on January 17, did not assess the legality of ICE’s internal guidance itself. But it squarely holds that federal agents violated the United States Constitution when they entered a residence without consent and without a judge-signed warrant—the same conditions ICE leadership has privately told officers is sufficient for home arrests, according to a complaint filed by Whistleblower Aid, a nonprofit legal group representing whistleblowers from the public and private sector. In a sworn declaration, Garrison Gibson, a Liberian national who has lived in Minnesota for years under an ICE order of supervision, says agents arrived …

Immigration Officers Assert Sweeping Power to Enter Homes Without a Judge’s Warrant, Memo Says

WASHINGTON (AP) — Federal immigration officers are asserting sweeping power to forcibly enter people’s homes without a judge’s warrant, according to an internal Immigration and Customs Enforcement memo obtained by The Associated Press, marking a sharp reversal of longstanding guidance meant to respect constitutional limits on government searches. The memo authorizes ICE officers to use force to enter a residence based solely on a more narrow administrative warrant to arrest someone with a final order of removal, a move that advocates say collides with Fourth Amendment protections and upends years of advice given to immigrant communities. For years, immigrant advocates, legal aid groups and local governments have urged people not to open their doors to immigration agents unless they are shown a warrant signed by a judge. That guidance is rooted in Supreme Court rulings that generally prohibit law enforcement from entering a home without judicial approval. The ICE directive directly undercuts that advice at a time when arrests are accelerating under the administration’s immigration crackdown. The memo itself has not been widely shared within …

Trump Administration Plans to Review Refugees Admitted Under Biden, Memo Obtained by the AP Says

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Trump administration plans a review of all refugees admitted to the U.S. during the Biden administration, according to a memo obtained Monday by The Associated Press, in the latest blow against a program that has for decades welcomed people fleeing war and persecution into the country. The review is likely to sow confusion and fear among the nearly 200,000 refugees who came to the United States during that period. It is likely to face legal challenges from advocates, some of whom said the move was part of the administration’s “cold-hearted treatment” of people trying to build new lives in the U.S. The memo, signed by the director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, Joseph Edlow, and dated Friday, said that during the Biden years “expediency” and “quantity” were prioritized over “detailed screening and vetting.” The memo said that warranted a comprehensive review and “re-interview of all refugees admitted from January 20, 2021, to February 20, 2025.” The memo indicated that there will be a list of people to re-interview within three …
