Natalie J Robb has told Radio Times of the uncertain future ahead for Moira Dingle after being released from prison. The beloved Emmerdale character was facing charges of human trafficking and double murder, though finally walked free in today’s instalment of the ITV soap. Viewers watched in horror as Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) blackmailed Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) into planting passports belonging to Celia Daniels (Jaye Griffiths) and Ray Walters’s (Joe Absolom) enslaved workers in her living room, in a bid to take control of her homestead, Butler’s Farm. Moira stood firm – she wasn’t going to sign over her share, but the news of husband Cain’s (Jeff Hordley) prostate cancer diagnosis made her realise that the failing business was only putting more pressure on him. Emmerdale spoilers follow. Emmerdale aired a major turning point in Moira Dingle’s ordeal tonight, as Cain Dingle got some game-changing news. Moira has spent most of this year so far in prison after being falsely blamed for double murder and human trafficking. But tonight, although things took a turn for the worse for Bear Wolf, they do at least seem to be looking up for Moira. Tonight’s scenes saw Cain receive a very positive phone call. Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) has been left furious in Emmerdale, after a serious confession from sister-in-law Ruby Miligan (Beth Cordingly). As we know, Cain’s wife Moira (Natalie J Robb) has been wrongly imprisoned for manslaughter, after two bodies were found on Butler’s Farm. The first body found was enslaved Anya Berisha (Alia Al-Shabibi), who passed away following the foul treatment she received from Ray Walters (Joe Absolom) and Celia Daniels (Jaye Griffiths). In a shocking twist, the second corpse was Celia herself. Ruby discovered the shallow graves while seeking answers about Anya’s death. The two had struck up a friendship last year when she was found sleeping in one of Caleb’s (William Ash) work vans. Thing are looking desperate for Emmerdale’s Moira Dingle right, with the character being sent to prison on a double murder charge, for the deaths of Anya and Celia Daniels – crimes she didn’t commit. Of course, this has left fans worried about the character’s future, fearing that actress Natalie J Robb could soon be leaving the series – however, the star has now said this isn’t the case, at least not for now. Speaking to The Mirror, on the prospect of her leaving the series, Robb said: “I think that would be the first thing they would say to you, they’d say ‘This is going to be it.’ I’ve been lucky enough just to get another contract so I think they would obviously have to say, ‘Sorry, you’re going to be leaving and this is gonna be your out.’ “So when they just told me about the story I didn’t think that I would be leaving.
