[This story contains major spoilers from the finale of RuPaul‘s Drag Race season 18.] RuPaul has crowned America’s Next Drag Superstar! Season 18 of RuPaul’s Drag Race has come to an end, and Myki Meeks has snatched the crown. Heading into Friday night’s finale, Darlene Mitchell, Myki Meeks and Nini Coco were named the top three of the competition. Each drag artist dished out a performance to their own original song in the cumulative episode, though it was Myki and Nini who RuPaul named the top two queens of season 18. In her new memoir Famesick, the Emmy nominee has opened up about some of the A-list stars who tried out for roles in Girls, only to not make the cut. While she didn’t name which parts the actors were trying out for, she listed Marvel star Elizabeth Olsen, Fifty Shades actor Dakota Johnson, Black Mirror’s Cristin Milioti and comedian Amy Schumer, claiming they were all seen “several times” about appearing in the show. The John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation has announced this week the 223 scholars and artists who received a 2026 Guggenheim Fellowship, one of the most coveted honors in the arts. This is the foundation’s 101st class of fellows. The class spans 55 scholarly disciplines and artistic fields, with fellows chosen from a pool of nearly 5,000 applicants. Fellows are divided into creative arts, social sciences, natural sciences, and humanities. The creative arts portion has 30 fellows for fine arts, 19 for photography, 19 for film & video, 10 for fiction, and six for drama and performance art, among other disciplines. Lucid Motors names new CEO, lands more money from Uber and Saudis

Lucid Motors has finally found a new CEO in long-time industrial executive, Silvio Napoli, marking the end of a more than year-long search following the sudden resignation of its former chief, Peter Rawlinson. The company on Tuesday said that Napoli, who has spent the last few decades in various leadership positions at elevator and escalator company Schindler Group, will also join its board of directors. Alongside the CEO appointment, Lucid said it has received another $200 million commitment from Uber, which has agreed to buy an additional 25,000 robotaxi-ready versions of Lucid’s upcoming mid-size vehicle. That brings Uber’s total committed investments in Lucid Motors to $500 million, and its minimum vehicle order to 35,000. Finally, Lucid’s majority owner, the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund, is purchasing another $550 million of its shares. The announcements come during an all-important year for Lucid Motors. The Medina Triennial, a new recurring art exhibition set to launch in the titular Western New York village this summer, has revealed the artist list for its inaugural edition, due to open on June 6 in close proximity to the Erie Canal. The 39 participants include a range of artists well-known on the biennial circuit. Lina Lapelytė, one of the artist’s behind the Golden Lion–winning Lithuanian Pavilion at the 2019 Venice Biennale, is taking part, staging Faithfully Recording, through which local singers and construction workers will build a sculpture together. Eric Morecambe and Ernie Wise formed one of Britain’s most iconic comedy duos with Morecambe and Wise, and they dominated the comedy scene from the early 1960s all the way until Eric’s unexpected death in 1984. Counterpublic has named the 47 artists and collectives that will take part in the triennial’s upcoming third edition, scheduled to run September 12–December 12 in St. Louis, Missouri. In February, the five-person curatorial team—Jordan Carter, Raphael Fonseca, Stefanie Hessler, Nora N. Khan, and Wanda Nanibush—announced that their exhibition would be titled “Coyote Time,” which takes its name from a commission by Alice Bucknell.
